Striking a proper balance here
We don't need Juan's post to find out the ship's repair status; that's what the good ol' PR units are for!

I think Lost Sailor came down a little too hard, though it is probably the safer bet to give no information on such things rather than possibly crossing over into OPSEC territory. I was struck dumbfounded a few years ago when I read about a fire that had spread across the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia on that base's website. They went into detail saying that because of the proximity of the tents, it had spread quite fast. When I emailed them and asked if it wasn't just a little bit dangerous reporting that, considering the ability of terrorists to fire an explosive device onto the base, they replied that they (PR unit) need to provide a service to the friends and family of the people stationed on base! As far as I'm concerned, it would be better to shut down all the PR websites rather than run the risk that a detail in a story could aid terrorists. Johnny G.I. has likely got email contact with Mommy and Daddy anyway; no base website is needed to make them feel closer to him.
Sorry, got carried away. What were we talking about here?
Oh, yes! Personally, I'm more interested in the status of Hinodecho. Thanks for all the posts giving recent intel in that regard.
I have to agree too: Lost Sailor is acting silly
The schedules of the US Navy fleet (including forward looking) is available from officially sanctioned sources in much geater detail than was mentioned here. But you never know, maybe Osama Bin Laden is a regular reader of the WSG Yokohama board and this sort of classified "intel" might be enough for him to blow up a ship. Lighten up and lets here about the hookers in hinodecho.
Koganecho on the weekdays
I usually go to Koganecho on weekend afternoons - whenever I can get rid of the wife, and have always had pleasent experiences.
Recently, I have gone there during the weekday (10am and early afternoon) and have found out that the place is dead. Except for a few select areas near Koganecho station all the booths were closed. The nice thing about the situation however, is that the girls will agree to 8k and sometimes even 7k yen. Not bad for a quicky in Japan.
No more Koganecho: Kawasaki
Given the sad situation in Koganecho I have started using Kawasaki a bit more, as an alternative. My impression is that Kawasaki has suddenly started to get a lot busier. A lot of the booths appear empty, but with the lights on. This can only mean the lady is in the back with a customer. As reported previously, there are some nice Chinese girls in Kawasaki, although I have noticed how expert Chinese ladies in their 30s are with their makeup. They can make their faces look 10 years younger than they really are.
what the hell is going on
have been to koganechuo 3 times this week and seems to have died, come on all you japanese mongers find out what is going on.
Is this permanent or what?
I went last night 20/12/04 and more police than mongers, although there a few girls trying with the lights off, but nothing I would shake my snake at.
Can some one give direction to the kawasaki site, thanks may have to go there.
Cheers,
Topos
