Thanks to Discordare for the directions. I think it was the red building on his map (opposite to "building 7"). It's right next to the yellow "International Ticket Office" (or something like that) which is impossible to miss if you walk by.

The same Japanese Hot Massage which I tried at Springs hotel costed only 22'000 there (compared to 35'000 at Springs). It was basically the same massage though. However, the massage was not as good as the one I had at the hotel (apart from the fact that she texted on her cell phone once or twice during the massage...wtf).
Was ok in general and included a happy end, but then the girl at Springs did much better on the massage AND the happy end. Maybe it was just bad luck, but given the big price difference I guess they send the better girls to Springs. That's just a guess though.

That's good news Disc. I was sorry to see it close, so I am really pleased it has re-opened again. Springs Hotel branch was just not the same.
If anybody tries it out let me know if it has been renovated. Disc said same great service as before but wondering why it closed if not for renovation.

[/QUOTE]Here is what I think happened, at least according to previous posts as well as some guessing on my part. The owner of the building basically kicked UB Massage out, so UB Massage opened up a new location near the train station and a bit later the one at the Springs. (By the way the one at the train station is about 15, 000 T cheaper than the one at the Springs).

Then the owners of the building opened up their own "New" UB Massage, with some very superficial remodeling. So it was essentially a (successful) attempt by the building owners to steal the business from UB Massage. They even managed to hire away at least one masseuse (the best one) from the old UB Massage.

So, sleazy? Sure, but it is convenient!

Recently hooked up with a Mongolian girl whom I met at a club in my country,

ok, i've been here several days now and can report on my adventures. first of all, the taxi bringing me from the airport into town on monday night was hit head-on at rather high speed by a drunk driver. this happened on the airport road at 11 pm. the airbags went off, windows were blown out, both cars spun around and were obviously totaled, but nobody went to the hospital. i was pretty shaken up and have a badly bruised hand and some superficial cuts from flying glass. what a way to start my first visit to mongolia!

having gotten that out of the way, i did a lot of interesting touring but found time for mongering as well. i went to "new" ub massage on seoul road twice and got a happy ending both times. the first time was better than the second because the massage girl was cuter and spoke some english. the second time was mechanical with an unattractive girl.

i picked up a girl in lenin square one day around noon and brought her back to the continental hotel, where i'm staying, for an enjoyable hour. paid 40k in local currency. probably could have paid less, but she was pleasant enough. tried again a couple of times but had no luck in that little park.

went to strings last night and was approached by a 30ish, attractive but slightly plump and moderately drunk local girl. we hit it off and enjoyed a couple of hours there. the filipino band is really terrific! at 1 am, we headed to my hotel. on the way, she asked how much i'd give her. i said 60k local currency. she said ok. but she didn't mean it! later, in the room, she said that i should be giving her $100 usa. about double what we had agreed to. i just laughed and said 60k. she then got kind of snippy and said "60k for what?" i wasn't quite sure where she was going with that and just said,"for staying with me all night." well, she indicated that i wasn't paying her enough. at that point, i was simply out of patience and told her that she had to leave. i said that i'd give her taxi money and walk her out, but she was definitely leaving. then she got all nice again and tried to change my mind. i said that arguments over money ruin my mood, which was totally ruined at that point by her demands and endless focus on money. it doesn't produce the results she should want. i walked her downstairs and sent her on her way. no regrets at all. hopefully, she learned something.

tonight is my last night, but i'm kind of worn out and am staying in.

Come on guys, there must be some action in UB, please share the best places to go. And any numbers you have for those cold nights alone.
