Sosua Reports

I have devoted my self to the DR for many personal reasons. 1st I love black latina women this is my strong preference. This kills the PI and Thailand. I am limited to 5 and 6 day vacations. I considered Brazil strongly but the flight and the talent kills my budget. My average trip is 1100 dollars for everything including women for 5 days. The one place that may make me pull the trigger is Colombia. I am curious but have no motivation because I am not bored with the DR.

If you are already addicted to a cheap drug, do you really want to risk getting addicted to an expensive one?

But now that the price of your next flight to the DR has gone up to $600, that STILL is not enough reason to try Colombia, even though the remainder of your budget of $500 for 5 days will have you sleeping on park benches, panhandling for food, and getting hand jobs from chicas of your own age.

I didn't even bother to post a report on my last two super trips, I correspond with fans mostly by PM and other sites. Let's just say I can't wait to get back there! :)

I know everyone does there own thing as I do. But please explain how you can have a budget of $1,100 USA Dollars for even 5 days and drain your nuts at least one a day? The only way I can that is you may have flight miles you are cashing in for the plane and stay either in a free room or a low cost one for $30 a night?

I have not been to Sosua in a while. Any hotel recommendations that have wifi, very close to the action, no problem with bringing in chicas and is relatively nice rooms?

Also anyone have any info on fishing in the area? I've wanted to try some deep sea fishing. Thanks.

I mean what I say, it is better to stick with what you like than to develop more expensive tastes. I have never been to Colombia, Thailand, or Philippines either. Have no desire to go to those places. Made one little trip to Costa Rica some years ago.

Last trip expences were $380 round trip to SD. Used publico from air Port and taxi $10, $45 Hotlel discovery 1st night. Had chica come in from De Macouris $100 bucks. 1000 pesos for cabana with jacuzzi. Caribe bus to Sosua $10. 3 days hotel at Europa $120.1st day 2 girls 4200 pesos. Wifed up with a cutie 2 complete days and nights, I had perfume lipstick and nail polish bought from 5 below that she loved. Paid her $200 plus 3 meals shared $ 60 Baileys pizza and bass, German Grill chops and bourbon street chicken. 2 one hour massages 1600 pesos /$35, $10 for return trip to Sd on Metro bus, This total is about 1050 bucks. The other $50 incidental. This is a very accurate accounting. Did everything I wanted to do including day at Caberreti beach with wife. Used publico and rented 2 beach lounge chairs 600 pesos,

First, I send my warmest greetings to all my clients and friends. Let me say that I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity of offering to all of you the comfort and well being during your stays at the Hotel Sosua Sunrise.

As you know the building was constructed over 30 years ago, and many of the furnishings are from the time of the original construction. This past year, we have received many comments and suggestions related to renovating the rooms and facilities. This past spring, we sent out a survey to over 2400 clients collecting your views on your priorities in any renewal plan.

The rooms, bathrooms and common areas are what you said were most important to you.

I own the hotel business; the building owner is our collaborator and I need him to be committed and to contribute to the renewal plan.

During this spring, he reviewed the possibilities and the significant investment that would be necessary to accomplish the scope of renewal we felt was needed. Unfortunately, due to several factors he is unable to conclude the financing to launch the renewal project.

Rather then continuing to operate in an infrastructure that no longer meets your needs, I decided that it is best to cease operations. This decision was not easy, but considering my continued commitment to you, my clients, and being in a situation where I believe it would be impossible to deliver the quality you expect, brought me to the conclusion that it is the only option.

I will be closing June 15th meaning the last night of operation is June 14th.

Moving forward, the building owner is hoping to have a new operator in place sometime soon.

My plans are to take some vacation (my first in the last 4 years) and enjoy the warm weather, the beach and time with friends. You will most likely see me around if you are here in the coming months and please do not hesitate to stop and say Hello,. I appreciate the friendship that you have offered to me over all these years and I look forward to maintain them.

And yes. After my vacation, I will be looking to see if there are new opportunities here locally that would open the door to a new hotel where I can again offer to you the quality you have come to expect.

Sosua trip expences.

Round trip flight $380.

5 women 3 TLN $450.

4 nights hotels $165.

Local travel $40.

Food $100.

Gentlemen I had an excellent time, 2 ladies were all day dates one being 2 complete days. I ate at my favorite eating places. Not low rent places. Baileys twice, Bourbon Street and for the first time German Grill for dinners. $1200 pesos a day for food. Average dinner was 600 pesos. I picked up 2 dinners and a breakfast with my sweetie chica that was covered by my food budget. Water and snacks were also covered in the budget.

I went to Caberreti, Caribean Jeffs and the Casino near Dulce Secreto where I won 3 k pesos playing black jack. I was accompanied with my chica which made these activities more enjoyable.

Lastly, My nuts were totally drained, the chicas I wifed up with gave me very strong GFE. Whenever I was ready they satisfied me.

Great posts, Old Kool. Very helpful to newbies and those contemplating a first trip. Those figures sound very realistic for someone who is careful, has common sense and knows a little Spanish (not much, but familiarity with numerals is vital). It also helps to be able to think in pesos rather than dollars or euros and this is something newbies can practice at home before travelling.

It would be great to see more posters adding their budgets to their reports. Too many people report they did this or that chica without a clue as to what they paid.

The mongering in Colombia blows the DR away hands down.

The absentee owner is interested in maxing out the bottom line, while the operator needs to personally keep the customers happy and coming back.

You get to to point where operating becomes very frustrating if the owner won't spend any money, while you are trying to grow the business.

But, I can easily see why the owner is not impressed by some 2400 mongers telling him what they would like him to do with his money. After all, it is still one of the highest rated monger hotels in Sosua.

(And we know from recent posts how cheap Sosua mongers are with their own money, and how hard they are to satisfy. If you tell them you had a good cheap time there, they want to see your receipts) :)

The owner can easily find a new operator to put in there, change the name again, Casa Cayenne, Sosua Sunrise, Sea View, whatever.

But Willie is to be commended for doing a great job, apparently under difficult circumstances, and handling his closure in a professional way, so far.

He will carry the good will of his customers to any new venture, me included, so he'll be OK!

It's just another example of the musical chairs that locals take for granted. Over the years they closed my 3 favorite bars, but I still have no problem finding an ice cold Presidente Lite, a little music, and lots of smiling chicas to drink it with. Salud!
