I predict that the hundreds of thousands of visitors whom come back year after year and have figured out how to have a good time in this beautiful, pimp free, safe little tropical beach town, with good restaurants, great beaches, and beautiful independent women everywhere smiling at you, won't post about it here.

I predict that guys will continue to spend a fortune to travel halfway around the world for "next level" pussy, then complain Sosua is not cheap!

Sosua is highly recommended, and demonstrably cheap for those near the Eastern Seaboard.

It's the ones who have never been able how to figure out how to shoot fish in a bowl without getting ripped off by "smelly, skanky hoes". THEY are the poor sods, we laugh at, who really "don't know any better"! :)

Many expats chilling with the mongers. The environment for mongers could not be better. The whole town rolls out the welcome mat. In Sosua, the sex it is so easy and available that you don't need to spend a lot of time chasing it, so the other amenities, good restaurants, beaches, fresh seafood, hotel room on the beach, instead of a mile away with good A/C and WiFii, and good morning coffee and breakfast close by, play a big part in your overall enjoyment. Nothing is more than a 5 minute walk away, so no need for car rental, parking, damages etc.

Your fellow monger friends, or in my case local friends, and acquaintances always happy to see you, are a big part of the fun!

Sosua has it all!

Although, if you read between the lines, the story always goes "some guy" they know, or worse, "some guy" these same "lyin' hoes" has told them about, who always fucks up, spends too much, spoils the market, and is responsible for killing Sosua. THEY themselves would never fall for any "shyt" like that. They always seem to get the sex some other poor sucker is paying for for free, or at cut rate prices, because they are operating at the "next level", from the other poor mongers.

You don't need to be a qualified psychiatrist, like our Wrxxy, to figure out they have certain "issues" :)

Sosua has it's warts, who doesn't? It's a third world poverty stricken place. We all know that and you must exercise a little common sense and caution, like you would anywhere else. Everybody makes the odd mistake and bad judgement, but we have guys here that research every old post to remind you of any mistake you freely shared with the group. That, and the "abused wife" insults, has a chilling effect on honesty here, and also the fact that a lot of these posters know and hang with each other personally, adds another dimension to the mix, that you don't find on a lot of other anonymous boards.

But Sosua offers an awful lot to the average monger, and even to affluent businessmen from all over the world, who do actually do "know better", I travel with one, these days.

I'm here for a little balance, so they don't chase away all the fans, and especially newbies!

My message to them is, "C'mon down to Sosua, the water's fine!". Just remember business is slow in summer and hurricane season, like now!

It is heart warming the compassion some mongers have for the well-being of the Dominican employees and businesses that would be negatively affected by unfavorable reports by posters here.

If some guy insisted on hanging around a very popular restaurant like Bailey's every day, calling it a shit sandwich and insulting and berating the CUSTOMERS, at some point he would be told to move on!

I go to Sosua once a year for the past six years. Around early to mid June June or mid September.

I no longer take the mafia cab from the airport. I walk five minutes to the main road. I am no hurry. Plus I need the exercise. There was an American girl doing the same thing. She was going to Puerto Plata. I get picked up by cab (this time I paid 300 P) or I will ride the vans that pick people by the road. Think I paid 100 p last year. Those airport cab asshole one time would not even drop myself and another guy at different location. Mine was a block on the same road to New Garden. One stop only.

I do not know if it the new disco. But Classico was closing at 1 am on Sunday thru Wednesday night. But the bar below was packed. But did not know that info. So I go down at 1;45 am on Sunday and the whole town is shutting down. Thursday. Saturday usual crowds in Classico. I was paying 2000 p for short time in Classico.

The casino is dead after hours. It is usually has 20 people playing cards and another 30 people playing slots. I go in there on Friday and Saturday night at my usual time of 3:30 am. Two people playing cards. And another 15 playing slots. Not good. Plus they have removed about 15 slot machines. The after hour casino / disco did not open.

Paying 1500 p for girls walking the street around 6-8 pm.

Never made it to the new disco. Not riding a moto bike late at night drunk. Plus real easy for a dog to run into the street and have accident. I will stay to the main drag.

All the new action clubs casino and discos are 2 miles out of time. Riding a motto when it is pitch dark is a no go for me. I have been to the new club Carribean Jeff's and the new casino near Dulce Secretos. Both places are very attractive. Both are way better then anything in Sosua but will fail because of their location. Unless they supply some sort of transportation from Sosua they will have a very short life span.

Publico and gaga are good options for well traveled healthy folks who travel light. But a heavy suitcase, the heat, the wait, no A/C make it a no no for most, and that's the target market of the airport taxi mafia.

One hotel in town has a free bus. Other hotels will send a cab for you, but usually you pay the same 25 bucks as the airport taxis. They don't like to negotiate that price, but if you can that manage to do that, you will usually get attitude like a pissed off hoe.

Airport cabs are usually new SUV's with A/C and right on your doorstep, they are obviously much more expensive to buy and maintain than the old cracked windshield junkers that the local use for 100 pesos, So you do get a little comfort and privacy to drink an airport beer, after a long flight, and call your friends at the bar. And they'll take you right to the door.

Once at the bar, your motoconcho guy grabs your suitcase and whisks it away to the hotel.

You've gone from the airport to your favorite bar with another ice cold Presidente Lite in your hand, in fifteen minutes flat!

Your'e so cool and relaxed you don't even need a shower or a change of shirt. Then there's the women!

I've always intended to check out the Casino, just for curiosity, but in all these years, never did make it yet.

In any case, once I was out, I just waved at a guy on a motor cycle. He took my cabin luggage and placed it on the gas tank and off we went to the hotel in Sosua. The guy later told me he works at the airport and was going home, so it worked fine for him and for me.

Somebody who knows what he wants and knows how to get it!

The Airport taxi guys complain they have to pay an Airport Entry Fee to pick up passengers, so that might account for some of the steep price, but those big new shiny vans with all the latest gadgets that can seat 7, don't come cheap, either!

What they don't understand is we like the convenience of everything being a short walking distance away. If I have to rely on someone taking me back-and-forth to the club I'm not going. Not in the Sue.
