there is a real simple way of figuring out what the age of majority is, just do the following:
1. imagine what it would be like getting gang banged bareback by all the hardened filipino criminals in the local jail for 6 to 12 months in the sweltering heat.
2. imagine having your meager daily ration of rice forcibly taken from you each day by these same criminals who kill for a few hundred pesos.
3. imagine shitting in a bucket with your hemorrhoid inflamed ass in front of 50 or so other prisoners packed liked sardines wondering if they'll get turned on and pack your fudge again.
4. imagine getting your teeth kicked out so these murderers can use your mouth for bareback blowjobs without the fear of being bitten.
5. imagine coming down with aids and other illnesses from being raped by your hiv positive cell mates and not being given proper medical attention.
6. think people smell bad pressed together in jeepneys in the hot weather? well, you'll be enjoying the hot aroma of man-flesh in an overcrowded cell with no air conditioning.

This issue is a minefield.
There are two ages of consent in the Philippines.
If there is no money involved, then the age of consent is 12.
If there is money involved, then the age of consent is 18.
In my country, Australia, the issue of age of consent is a bloody minefield. ages differ between states, there are allowances for age differentials etc.
Generally, the age of consent is 15 or 16, but we know that by age 15, 50% of Australian girls have had sexual intercourse. So there are lots of technical breaches of the law. But the system turns a blind eye as long as they are both young.
Australia has a similar law to the US for international relations, technically, irespective of the local laws, a person commits an offence if he has sex with a female under the age of 18.
It totally ignores reality, and ages of maturity. I guess it is trying to force a mode of behaviour on Australian citizens to be sure that they can never get sprung, and hence saves the local embassy the effort of having to provide consular support.
So, as others have said here, stick to 18 and play safe.

as i see it, the law is designed to prevent relatively wealthy ****s from contributing to child abuse in some 3rd world countries. that is a good thing.

I don't understand the basis of this entire discussion. Why the hell would anyone want to engage in sex with a child under the age of 18 regardless of the law? Who cares what's technically "legal?" Under 18 is, or should be strictly off limits and no amount of rationalization can make it right.

ge you know me, the girls i take, and my work. my target age is usually around 25 as they know how to screw by this point. of course i take younger and older.
i disagree with you because i do care what is "legal" and this discussion to me is important to me for the fact that if i pull a girl who says she is of age, acts and looks like she is 24, but is really 17 and something happens... can "big brother arse hole usa" bust my nuts when i transit us or it's territories.

Yeah I know... maybe it is only me, I'm 40 now, and I sure as shit do not remember girls at 18 looking like they do now or performing like they do now a days. Jesus Christ I swear they are looking much older and doing things that no 18 year old "should" be doing or knowing. It is sometimes scary (at least to me) to think how, why, when they learned to do some of this shit.

actually, it's hard to tell some times. i bar fined a girl for my friend in ac last february who said she was 18. the next day she admitted to my friend that she was only 17. this is out of a well known bar in ac. you just have to be extra careful i guess.

Soliciting a pro is illegal in most of the US. Why not extend that to US citizens worldwide? Who would stand up and object to that?
