Concerning STD: Is that your personal impression from doing it bareback, or do you have facts to prove it?
I spent a few days there over Christmas, went through a handful of girls. All the blowjobs were BB, sex was covered. Once back home, I waited the requisite period, got checked and was completely clean. If you're going steady with a girl there you can go get tested, but bear in mind the tests are only good from between a week and 90 days previous, so if she's been BB with someone the previous weekend, she could be infected and you wouldn't know it. I wouldn't recommend BB sex with any new partners, let alone in a P4P situation. Oral is your choice, I'm personally willing to take the risk for the sake of a quick visit to the clinic when I get home, but there is definitely some risk there.
Here is a question to all Sosua-Veterans: would you advise against travelling in September? I know it's off season and the hurrican risk is increased. But September is my time window this year. Or would it be disappointing?
I went over Christmas / new year when the all the girls were home with their families. It was also pissing down with rain for much of the time I was there. Nevertheless I never struggled to find an available girl and just had a dry pair of shorts and t-shirt ready for when I got in from the rain. Sure, some periods are better than others, but I can't imagine there is any time I would avoid going there, unless you have a completely flexible diary.
India is very low 0. 26% and Dominican Republic is 1. 04% ; but of course that's the average for the population in places like sosua that number is probably higher.
In another reference the US is at about 0. 65%.
https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2155rank.html
As you say, it's all relative. Those figures would be completely different in a mongering environment. Bottom line, if she's willing to go BB with you, she's probably done the same with another monger, and who knows where he's been. Not worth the risk IMHO.
I'm not looking to take sides in this ongoing schoolyard banter, I'm certainly not qualified to, considering I've only been there once, but I have mongered in many destinations around the world, so I'll chuck in my 2 cents.
Girls in Sosua will try to pull the same sh*t as girls in first world countries charging 5+ times the amount. How easy is it to get a decent punt in the USA? Scan the UK forums and read about all the tricks mongers get stung with. Hookers will be hookers, they will always see us as $$ signs and do whatever they can to get more out of us. If we are a ST pickup, they'll try and extract a propina, if we are a Facebook contact, they'll give us the full GFE in the hope that we'll become a Western Union BF or bring them home to our developed country and give them a good standard of living. Either way, with very few exceptions, all chicas, in all destinations, are after what is in our bank accounts, not what's between our legs.
Now, balance that against the good that Sosua has to offer. Extraordinarily low costs, for the trip and for the mongering, beautiful beaches, good food, a bountiful supply of beautiful girls etc. The list goes on.
Sure, on my first evening there, I had a girl who wouldn't sleep with me and another one who bullied me into a propina, but guess what? I still nutted multiple times that evening, and, most importantly, it didn't happen to me on day 2. So it cost me a couple of bad punts and a $4 propina to learn the system down there. Let's put it into perspective. After landing on an afternoon flight in a country I'd never visited, with a language I didn't speak, I nutted 3 times with 3 different girls for under 70 USD before going to sleep at a reasonable time, without ever being concerned for my personal safety.
The bottom line is, the chicas don't pull anything that chicas in other countries won't, yet Sosua has so much to offer that other countries don't, so sure you need to be careful, as you should anywhere you travel, but if Sosua is a reasonably prices flight away, IMHO it is a great vacation.
If you're not an experienced Sousa monger, rain is going to dampen your trip. With no previous chicas to contact, its going to make it harder. There will be less girls out and about. The beach will be quiet. Heavy rains and flooding will make it hard to walk around, looking for your girl of choice. Sure, youll find something that's willing to bunker down in your dry room and screw all day. If you find a keeper before it starts, you're set. If not........
I to was tired of the abuse of those of else who love Sosua. For some time I thought I was all alone.
A little cadre of know it all disgruntled malcontents, has decided Sosua is a Shit Sandwich. And they will not let any positive post go by without attacking any poster who spoils their circle jerk narrative! .
Lot's of people like that out there in the world. Take a lot of effort and common sense to build a barn. A psycho can get his picture in the paper just by putting a match to it!
For a while, I thought you and I were the only true fans left in the Forum.
Nice to see that there's a little more common sense out there!
This discussion reminds me of the same topic a few years back on DR1 when much the same arguments were put forward on both sides.
Things got so heated there that regular and valued poster Marco, the late proprietor of Rocky's, left DR1 in a huff, never to return.
I know the gentlemen here are more tranquilo so expect no resignations.

I have often been tempted to retire from the board myself, but something about the way I was brought up won't let me be run off by disgruntled malcontents and their personal attacks!
A word from the moderator might do it though! :)
A guy I broke in to Sosua is breaking two newbies. He was telling me that the new guys are having issues over thinking things. They are not use to women coming at them.
A guy I broke in to Sosua is breaking two newbies. They are not use to women coming at them.
Haha, sounds like me on my first trip. There nothing quite like the shock of realising you've landed in a town sized brothel. Takes the concept of candy shop to a whole new level.
A guy I broke in to Sosua is breaking two newbies. He was telling me that the new guys are having issues over thinking things. They are not use to women coming at them.
We all have a different way to sort them out.
Personally, with pick-ups, if they can raise an erection from me just by talking, or over a beer, I know I'm at least half way there to satisfaction.
No grabbing allowed, though!

More seriously, I am always attracted to the shy ones.
Clearly, some carry their personal hurricanes with them. The dark cloud that seems to follow them everywhere.
But I guess when you are a confirmed "nail", everything looks like a hammer!
Best avoided, at all costs.
Here is a suggestion for another perennial topic, after Scwab card, and now hurricanes, and it's speedos. Methinks speedos are just fine for Sosua shores.
Here is a suggestion for another perennial topic, after Scwab card, and now hurricanes, and it's speedos. The fine weather, the beautiful beaches and tons of horny hookers admiring your speedo, come on down, you will not be disappointed.
