I liked some of things Bolly77 said. But Soi 6 is a hour boink unless he is a minute man. If he pops quick then I understand his concern.
Wtf. Maybe for people like him, word "cheap Charlie" is invented.
Not paying for lady drinks, negotiation for 1 k thb, no wonder many bars in Pattaya don't allow Indians. People like him is causing so much problem for people like me and many others, who spend in every bar they enter.
One more foreigner who does not realize how far 1000 baht really goes around here. FYI, most people that I know who work normal jobs earn 10K/month.
People like you are not causing many problems for people like me. I see why the words "walking ATM" were invented. After they finish with my cheap charlie ass, they know a lich falang like you will be along at any second.
Yeah I should have jumped in and been the fourth guy. Then we could have done a 4444.
4 guys, 4 inches, 4 minutes. 4 hundred.
What is the protocol?
Who goes first?
What's the line up?
Smallest dick first?
Last guy can bb?

I don't know any monger who makes less than 80 k / month, maybe I have small circle.
Without wanting to sound too dramatic South Asians are becoming a more important segment of the P4P scene in Thailand especially Pattaya but not exclusively.
If this trend continues which is likely it's more than possible they will in time become critical to the success of for example walking street. But there is a problem. Justified or not they have a less than stellar reputation and are avoided by many of the girls who apart from some personal cultural issues simply don't trust them. Consequently something has to give.
Can the visitors change their ingrained value system? Over time possibly but in the short term probably not although one simple change to make immediately would be to break into groups of twos instead of the more normal five's and sixes.
Will the girls accept they are an increasing source of income and adopt measures to overcome their issues? More likely. These could take the form of payment upfront, compulsory pre sex showers and a warning when agreeing to go with a customer that unacceptable behavior such as friends waiting back in the room will not be tolerated with no refund of bar fine.
Either way the income opportunities South Asians represent is too great to be ignored.
I think top girls can discriminate Indians and still do well considering one boink with a Japanese guy can pay here share of her rent (roommate). I think Indians only go the 3 k+ route mainly at the soapies.

Franga, Downandup, Aviator12 and Ebauche. Thank you guys for your tips. I still have 6 months to go, but making plans, reading reports, looking for flights, choosing hotels. All that makes fun and is part of the experience, before I even set foot in Thailand.
From what I see, there are two fractions on this forum, when it comes to money management. First group are people who say: "Just spend the money, you're on holiday" or "If you're planning to negotiate the price with a girl, forget Thailand for now and come back later, once you have enough cash". Second group are people who say: "Your bath is worth more than you may think" or "Don't be a two-legged ATM". It's interesting to read that discussion. I personally tend to agree with the 2nd group, especially now when THB got so strong. Also, I don't mind buying a drink for the lady, but the bar fine doesn't make sense to me. I don't feel like paying for a room, if my apartment is literally 5 minutes away from the bar. That's why apps sound more appealing, but I will try Soi6 as well.
Walking along Beach Road tonight, I spotted 3 Indian guys negotiating with a freelancer. Their offer to her was for the three of them to bang her one after the other in their room for a total of 1200 baht. So 400 baht each. She walked off with them so she must have accepted their generous offer. I suppose it beats working at 7-11 for 4 days at 300 baht per day.
Why so many here care about what the Indians say or do with prostitutes? You know these girls? It's their business to deal with all these men. If they want they accept, if they not want, they just say no and finish.

They often provide a place for the girls to sleep at night, though some rent their own apartment and share with co-workers. They also allow us to walk by, take a look, talk a little, maybe do some touching and feeling, and check out their personalities BEFORE we pay single baht. Without the bar fine, the bars could simply not afford to support the girls and bye bye Soi 6, in particular.
So, no bar fine, no girls basically, and you will be stuck with online services. Online services can be great to find a girl to come over to bang then leave, all within an hour and with no lady drinks (unless she raids your refrigerator) or added bar fines, but I like to stroll Soi 6 or visit some of the WS agogos, to look at the girls first hand and talk to them to check for chemistry, before deciding. With online services, no way will she let you sit and talk with her, even touch her, without first paying. Some of the bar fines on WS can see to be excessive, I agree, but the basic concept of the BF is quite logical. IMHO.

Go Go's have been and are still my favorite type girly venue in BKK, Pat, MNL, AC, and Phnom. The theory that the steeper the barfine the prettier the girls might not always be true so I always barhop and hunt around until I am thoroughly caught up to date with the local scene and know where my spec girls are currently hanging out.
The Bordello is the major alternative to the Go Go business model. Bordello type establishments include oily massage parlors, BKK soapies like La Belle and Maria Hotel & Spa, Jakarta clubs like Malioboro, 1001 Hotel, Classic Hotel, and Macau Saunas like Rio and Familia Nobre. In the Bordello setting the customer pays the bordello, not the girl. It varies, but in most bordellos there is little if any time to get acquainted with a girl. Usually you see all or most of the available girls in the fishbowl and pick who you like. Everything is in-house at least the 1st time with a specific girl. Official take out charges are usually prohibitively expensive except in oily massage parlors, but a girl may offer to see her customer later on the outside, hush hush, if she likes him. Drinks and food are extra, but totally optional. In some Bordellos, mostly the ones in Thailand, the customer pays before sex in other Bordellos like those in Jakarta and Macau, for example, the customer pays his tab after sex, but before he is allowed to leave the establishment. I must admit that when in Rome, ie Jakarta and Macau, I really enjoy these clubs and saunas, but in BKK and Pat, I prefer the Go Go's and bars 6 to 1.
I have tried social media internet pickups only a couple of times, but with some degree of success in both BKK and MNL. The girls I hooked up with were attractive and the sex was pretty good, but I think I was lucky. That's why I still prefer to meet the girls in a bar or Go Go setting, buy them a drink or two, and then decide if I want to have them. The additional barfine over the cost of the independent internet girl is worth it to me since it allows me to audition pretty bar girls without making any commitment in a friendly environment. If I have any doubt about a bar girl I walk. But the internet is here to stay and I know that I will definitely be picking up more, young girls from the various social media sites going forward. I consider the internet just another source for finding young, attractive girls to shag at both a lower cost and higher risk than finding them in my favorite Go Go's and favorite Bordellos.

According to uncle Google, an average salary in Thailand is 15.000 baht. If a bar girl works 20 days a month, does just one ST a day, 1000 baht each, that's 20.000 baht a month. More than enough to pay for a place to live, food etc. Ergo: bar girls don't need any support from bar owners, they can have a decent life using just the money they earn.
As for the bars - 99% of bars worldwide make money on food and drinks, so I see no reason why Thai bars would suddenly go bust without bar fines. The way I look at it, bars and WGs can cooperate in a symbiosis. Bars need WGs, as they attract tourists who order drinks / snacks. WGs need bars, as this is the perfect venue to chat, offer services etc.
It all reminds me a bit of airlines, that used to convince people not long ago, that a €150 for a short haul flight is absolutely necessary for many, many reasons. And this was a paradigm which no one argued with until low-cost airlines proved, that it was a lie and it's perfectly possible to run a profitable business charging passengers €50 for the same flights.
As I said in the beginning, I don't know much about how these things work in Thailand, but my gut feeling is, that bar fines don't have any real justification, other than to make a bit more money on tourists.

Maybe it was this night or things changed quickly? As usual, I walked up and down WS. To check out what's new particularly clubs opening and closing what I noticed were more Indians younger and dressed more Western. One thing hasn't changed like the Chinese tour groups they walk ahead bumping into everyone never making an attempt to avoid.
Tonight I walked into one of my favorite clubs for the last year to start the evening after a large dinner. Nothing seems too unusual except I did notice a number of new girls and minus some of the better-looking ones normally on my visit. After a while, I did notice a number of individual Indians in the club spread out then a large number came in and sat right in front of me even before I was pretty much ready to move on but due to the group many of the waitresses were attending to their drink orders I also noticed one of the managers coming over to greet them and saying you need anything let me know. I waited patiently to get my bill paid when the waiter came up I ask what happen girls # day off / holiday? Told me finished don't like customers.
Changes coming?
