Yes, I got 35.9RD to 1 CAD. Bank rate was 33.2RD.
35.9238 is a Scotia Bank Dom Rep exchange rate for CAD cash purchases for August 14,2017 I prefer pussy topics to banking ones myself, but inevitably money comes into play. The best rate in my view now is CAD to USD exchange at home through a foreign exchange broker, and then USD cash into DOP in Dom Rep. Basically, it saves 2% over DOP withdrawal at the ATM billing CAD account, but for a trip it's not much difference, just preference for safety and / or convenience given all other factors equal.
This Monday kick the chica out after a good sleep and head for a quiet beach to view an eclipse, maximum is at 3:26 pm https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/@3492628?iso=20170821.

Hi guys,
1st trip to Sosua in few days. Would like to know if there is a difference between week end and week days / nights?
Is there more action on Friday and Saturday nights?
The numbers go way up on the weekends. Women come from all over the Island for weekend money. The clubs over flow on the weekends. The quality also goes up on the weekends. Go to Classicos on the weekend and watch your jaw drop.

Blackbeards or Sosua for the Mayweather vs McGregor fight? First time ever in the DR. Staying at NG arriving Thursday leaving Tuesday. Any advice would be appreciated.

Return trip is expensive by private cab or cheap but awkward for a newbie by public transport. I see no advantage in going there on such a short trip. Your relatively few hours on the island are too precious to waste travelling and you can have one, maybe two, extra chicas for the money spent on the cab fare.
When you come next time, for a week or more, then an afternoon, overnight stay, and following day spent at Blackbeards would be a worthwhile outing.

Then he will know if it is worth him going when he comes for a longer trip. My first time going to BB, MrGogo took me for the bikini contest on a Saturday. I got to see what the place was about, and to me the best think about it was the food and drinks. I am not a compound or resort kind of guy. I like to spread my wings and bounce around.
Congratulations to a fellow monger.

I think any of the fellow travelers should sent something to assist him so he can win on his appeal. I know some may not totally agree with how he conducted himself but there's a bigger issue involved here it is our freedom of speech when we travel outside the United States this could happen to us the same!
It has been quite some time and Mayor Neumann's campaign to drive chicas out of Sosua continues. Rumbas remains closed, as does DeLatins. Rancho Tipico remains closed, as well as several small bars where chicas could once be found. Available chicas can now congregate in Merengue bar starting around 10 pm, a few can be found at Bourbon Street, and Haitianas gather at City Lights every night.
The ability of chicas to stroll up and down the Pedro Clisante strip has been hampered by the mayor's latest project, shown in the attached photos. After requiring all the open air bars to put up glass walls and become ovens, the new scheme apparently is to attack the street scene directly. If there are streetwalkers, let's tear up the sidewalks. The sidewalk has been destroyed from the corner of Dr. Rosen all the way past Merengue bar, ruining the business of many nice little restaurants in the process. This condition persisted the entire week I was there and there was no sign of any effort to repave or otherwise repair the sidewalk. Sosuanews.com claims that the project is nearing completion, whatever that means.
This being off-season, there were few chicas to be found on the beach in the day time. Apart from chicas we knew from prior trips, it was a challenge to find good talent at reasonable prices, with many asking 3,000 DOP or more, although some can be found for 1500 to 2000. We were at Picaflor restaurant outside of Sosua several times, where there were 15 to 40 girls. The price at this place remains $100 for 4 hours, $150 for all night. Service from Picaflor chicas was not consistent; several claim that CBJ only is their official policy, although others provided good service.
