Took a taxi from the airport. Mistake. You go to a computer and type your destination and it prints a ticket with a set price. To Copacabana it was 127. Later when I checked Uber, it would have been 66. But I just flew in from Colombia where Uber isn't per se legal so I didn't know Uber is legal in Brazil and had a pick up area on the second floor. Stayed at an AirBNB next to Mar Palace. Great location. Lots of places to eat, 1 block to the beach, 2 blocks to Monte Carlo and 10-15 spas within a 5 minute walking distance for daytime action. Used the Bradesco Atms. No fee. 2500 per withdrawal. The ATM will tell you on the welcome screen if it has any money "notas disponsible 20,50, 100. " If you don't see this message, then the ATM is empty. Had to use Santander once because all the Bradesco ATMs were empty. 24 fee. Up to 2500 per withdrawal.

Eden Spa usually had 10 girls. My suggestion is take the ferry across the peninsular and then a slow drive south to take in the sights and coastal villages. It's good to get out of the hustle of Rio. Far too many mongers miss out on just how wonderful Brazil really is.
