It's probably too much work for you, without a car, to have fun that late and only stopping through SD.

There's a Claro store on the ground level of the airport as soon as you get through customs and baggage to the unrestricted area, on your right. Not sure if they'll still be open when you arrive though.

I will be staying at New Garden Nov 1 thru 5 with 5 friends. New Garden is a good option in a good location. PM me if our schedules match.

Am I correct in saying Metro is a little more expensive but quicker than Caribe? Do they both stop in Sosua? The website lists "Caribe Tours, Aut. Pto Plata-Sosua esquina, Sosa". Is that where the bus actually stops? If so, it's only a 4 minute drive to Dr Rosen, but I'll have a case, so can't take a motoconcho. Will there be passing taxis?

Last time I stayed at Sosua Sunrise, which I understand has since closed for refurbishment. What's my next best option? Do I need to book in advance for early November, or just show up and there'll be rooms available? I remember someone saying rooms are cheaper at reception than they are online.

Is early November a good time for Sosua? Weather says warm but lots of thunderstorms. Sounds similar to what I had at the end of December last year. Didn't bother me too much, I had plenty of shorts and t-shirts for when I got caught in the rain but there weren't many girls out in the streets, although that probably had a lot to do with being Christmas / new year.

Depending on the hour you arrive I would preferr to go to SD and not Boca Chica. The bus stations are in the heart of SD. Get a hotel on El Conde and chill. There are SWs if you are in the mood. I ususally meet one of my Cupid girls. We go to the movies, malls and casinos in SD. It is a great way to start my trips. The sex with girls set up is always excellent.

My faith in this forum is somewhat restored, although it would still be nice to see less bickering and less of "if you don't do it the way I do it you're doing it wrong".

Made it to the last week in September with the last 2 hurricanes gone by. It's still low season. They are beginning to cement the street on the Burbon street restaurant side. Rumba was my favorite bar in all my visits to Sosua. No more Rumba bar. I do not like City Lights or Classico. The renovated Casa Valeria hotel looks fabulous. Went to check out the chicas on the street. At first, it scared the hell out of me because I'm comparing it to previous visits. This trip also seem like the Haitians have outnumber the Dominicans by a large amount. My pick ups was just walking along and standing outside the side bars or restaurants. I let the action come to me and carefully picked out who I wanted to take back to my hotel. On this trip I did not have one Dominican. All Haitians only. Chica's still want me to take them when they know I have no more leech left.

Still love the sun, shade and good fresh food. Wow! No matter how Sosua changes I manage to have a very good time. It's just amazing! I can only get away once a year. Always new faces and the old timers always remember me. Treat people well because they never forget you. Now I think I need to learn a little bit of French or Creole. It's all good!

Go to BC the hotels are cheap and you can get around without a 🚗 and knowing Spanish. The piano bar is all you need for starters. It's easy to locate in a very simple operation for P4 P.

I hope he follows through with his intention to learn Creole. (Don't waste time with French unless you will use it elsewhere as well). Creole is not hard (it has a small vocabulary and is written [B]exactly[/B] as spoken, and just a few phrases are a great ice-breaker with Haitians.
