Just a few thoughts on what happening in the town and the bars over 2 barhops.
Lets start with this week, the whole town seems to be less busy than the last several weeks, there is a fairly big decline in punter numbers around, normally the streets are fairly busy with Koreans but even these seem to be less in number.
Geckos bar, probably 10 - 12 girls working most sitting around with older expats, only two girls on stage, had one drink and left.
Lollipop bar, last visit saw this bar was fairly busy and lively, even saw 1 girl that was slim and ok looking but 1 girl and 20 customers did not seem good odds this visit saw less punters and no cutie, maybe she had already been barfined or had left for the Better money at the Korean bars, 1 drink and left.
Vikings bar, this bar had come highly recommended as a favourite bar from a board member in his trip report, had not been here in a long time but thought give it a try, on walking in my friends wanted to immediately turn around and walk out but I had persuaded them to stay and maybe the bar had better girls on the next rotation, stayed for 1 drink, none of us saw anything worth buying a lady drink for, atmosphere was good though, plenty of smiling girls but girls too old for our liking.
Last bar was Atlantis bar, a jump up in girl quality, there were at least a couple of girls that were cute, invited one of them down for a drink with me, great company, a little shy but happy smiling girl, she had told me she was a Cherrie girl right from the start but still worth the lady drink money.

Had a good friend that was on a short visit from Davao city to catch up with us in Angeles for couple of days, we all tease him about his bad taste in women, his taste is so bad I would not leave my 93 year old grandmother alone with him in case he hits on her, he always finds his type of girl in the bars, this night it was the 1st girl that smiled at him in our 1st bar we visited paro paro bar on walking st, we all told him to take his time and choose better than the old fattie he liked but he wanted her, who am I to stop a friend having his type of fun, hit a few of the Korean orientated bars next, club xs and Q bar, both bars were quieter than last week for punters and girls, its seems that the higher season of Angeles is coming to an end.
Not much more to report except a few more bars have raised lady drink prices from 300 pesos to 350 pesos, cheapest barfine I saw was 4,000 pesos on walking st but you get what you pay for,5,000 pesos seems the norm for anything that a bit cute.

The pandemic, continuing until now, caused prices to jump up dis-proportionally higher than inflation in some arenas (you know, normal market explanations don't always apply in Phils), while other sectors took wild price drops. Previous to pandemic she was happy to get p2000, three times a week (p6 k total, and 3 pops). During pandemic, she was lucky to have 3 local expat clients, giving p1 k each time. During covid, client #1 had her twice a week (1 k + 1 k), client #2 once a week (1 k), and client #3 once a week (1500). Client #2 now insisted on 2 pops for 1 k. I was one of the clients. That's p4500 total, less than before, and now 5 pops. She was always worried when one of them was out of town for a week or two, or came down with a cold, coming down hard on me when another fella was incapacitated, wanting more sessions. Pre-pandemic, when an expat client was gone on vacation for a week or he was sick, she could go back to her old haunts and get another weekend warrior. During pandemic, she hoped that each expat invited her back next week. This scenario is more typical of what happened to the majority of gals in the biz.
Is that cruel of the clients, to lower the price? Can a virus be blamed? Is that a market issue? Market forces (ie, J or K influx) previously allowed AC bars to raise prices a decade ago, and then again last year. The gents now cry "P5000"! Isn't it fair that market forces during pandemic (large supply of girls, small demand & few expats) drove down the CAN OF SARDINES? To each market analyst, his own opinion.
During pandemic I referred to it as the market going 'sideways'; prices were both going up for some, and down for others. Some girls transferred from one arena (say, a gogo bar or escort) to another (say, OnlyFans), and made a good chunk of change. Others had nowhere to turn, as their entire choice of trabajo was customers from other countries who were in town. Some here and elsewhere have suggested that the girl could have turned to OnlyFans (or other online flesh marketing), which is logical, but I find that to be academic thinking that does not reflect pinoy cultural reality. Its easy to say or think, its entirely different if a mass psyche dampens or prohibits the follow-thru in many chicas. I suggested such to some of my regulars, offering to put them in touch with other such pinay in the OF arena for advice. All of them declined; they would not even consider it. Those ladies dependent on foreigners being in town (SW, gogo girls, Tinder, average-looking girls, province girls, etc) were suddenly happy with A CAN OF SARDINES as their prize. And they were easy to spot: they came to me (or were referred), not the other way around. The pandemic was so harsh on the local economy that regular gals newly agreeable with the SARDINES prize were additionally offering up neighbors who also needed A CAN. A glut on the market, making true EA's deep pool-o-poon.

The reason was that I found a method of getting the same girls to 'sneak out' for afternoon ST trysts (not to mention the ever-increasing girth of the ladies). Some of those gals became long time regulars. What Goffering mentioned about girls going for much less than the 'going rate' with guys they trust, or with expats (who they trust and get consistent biz from), is true. Sometimes (sometimes!) you can get a gogo gal for a less than expected. These things happen infrequently, over time, and are usually not visible to 2-week warriors. There is no great strategy for this to happen, it just happens sometimes.
OTOH, the Burgos barfine prices. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I think the early 00's saw consistent barfine prices of p2700. Then sometime about 2010, they jumped across the board to either 3500 or 3900 in different bars (excepting Stardust which remained at p2500 until it closed). Quite a jump at once, from 2700 to 3500 is 30%, or from 2700 to 3900 is 44%. However, the needle hasn't moved. A decade or more later (and even after high inflation and pandemic), the price remains the same. If the p3900 (plus tip) is too much today, wouldn't it be even worse a decade ago? I would make the case that the $ amount is not too high, but the quality of the goods became too low, ala Zhangsan (especially in the era just before covid, it was fairly bad, somewhat better today -- YMMV).

We're not talking a couple of hundred like AC. Often a pretty girl will expect a LT tip more than the original barfine. In your timeline, girls started off happy with 2500 to 3000. Now she will expect double that. That's where the Burgos price increase has been: The gross price has gone from 7 k to nearly 10 k. The concept of the barfine being partly consumable has also gone so you can add lady and regular drinks to that too. Your night is going to be a solid 10+k.
Many will disagree with me (ref Lance and others' good time reports) but I still regard this as good value compared to AC barfines. 10 k gets me a better looking girl, english speaking, no history of runners and a significant proportion of at risk pay to ensure good performance and attitude vs 6 k where none of these are guaranteed and my history hasn't been good.
I've never sat down and thought of it but perhaps that's why Burgos is generally the only place I barfine now. If I'm going to pay multiples of an online or civilian girl, then I'm happy to pay extra (too much??) to ensure a good time.

It bears mentioning that all burgos gogo girls now ask a minimum tip equal to 5000*. Most are agreeable to discount that. The 5 k is just an asking amount. Hotties mentioned to me 6000 when I asked, and one mentioned 7000. Even the fuglies want 5000 tip. However that is a starting point and for most girls its easy to mention 1 k less and she will probably agree quickly. That's since the bars re-opened a year ago. These numbers are p1000 higher than the 2010-2020-ish tip requests.
Pre-covid, 2010-ish to covid start, barfines about p3900. I found the minimum asking amount was 4000 tip, negotiable down 1000 (or sometimes more). Hotties insisting on 6 k tip and not negotiating.
Prior to the barfine increase of 2010-ish. Barfines of 2700, and tip requests were 2500 for fuglies, 3000 for most gals, and 4000 for hotties.
So yes, in most instances, you could simply double the barfine amount and arrive at a rough estimate of the girl's costs. Those consumables started disappearing around 2015, one bar at a time.

Online is cheaper but takes some work and misrepresentation is rife. The guy need to go find and select freelancers, they can be more hardened but again, they are a cheap option, sometimes very cheap. The bars are expensive but designed for short term visitors:. Some pretty girls, english speaking, low risk and the girl can be seen wearing next to nothing before selection. Don't forget that just because you go to look at one option, it doesn't mean you can't move into another if it doesn't suit you. I've been to Burgos, not seen anyone to my liking and gone home to grab a girl online.
Burgos never has been a cheap option. It's main market is businessmen who are in town for a few days and are prepared to pay for an enjoyable but risk free experience.
My 10 k was LT: 3900 barfine, 5000 tip and a few expensive (lady) drinks.

Assuming the guy isn't a complete animal during the first encounter, girls readily agree to an afternoon hook up, off the books, before work. In Burgos 10 k quickly becomes 3 k for a very attractive girl. The same option is available in AC.
After work is also an option for those who enjoy entertaining drunk girls, who have already been fucked three times, at 3 am. 🤮.
