As we are drinking, a chica walks over to my friend and decides he wants to take her upstairs, I said good, I'll spot you. She asked for $80 and wouldn't budge and damn, she didn't even look that good to me, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Told him to pass on that girl and pick another. Came back and pointed her out to me. I walk over and start chit chating with her and she also asks for $80. I guess this is the new norm, but I refuse to pay $80 when a few doors down you can get one for $60. Said sorry, we'll hit up Adelitas after we get some tacos.

We decide to take a lap around the alley before we get tacos and the picks were slim. The cuties in the alley on the right side of the HK exit were all MIA. But luckily he finds a chica he likes in front of Cascadas. Great, that saves me some cash! He takes her upstairs and I start to smoke a cigarette. Just a little after I finish my cigarette, he comes down. I'm thinking to myself, I'm glad I didn't give him a $80 chick for a 5 min. Session! Decided to skip Adelitas and just get some tacos and beeria. I paid for all expenses for my buddy because he's been unemployed for a while now and I figured this would brighten things up. I think it's not going to be too hard convincing him to go again with me![/QUOTE]

You realize you just presented him to a new vice that he will get hooked on and can't financially support. Oh well, another sucker another day.

Anybody going this Thursday? I'm thinking of making a trip you and would enjoy a fellow board member to monger with. PM me.

Going once doesn't necessarily get you hooked. I know plenty of people that have gone to Tijuana and had a good time but never returned for various reasons.

I've mongered all over Latin America, but for some reason, never tested Tijuana even though I am just an hr and half flight away. I came across this site a couple months ago and I find it very informative and beneficial. But these threads blew me away, a lot to digest from the different club and street scenes available at the Tijuana forum. I have planned a memorial weekend trip down there to test the waters.

Not sure if being Asian in my 30's with a good grasp of the Spanish language is an advantage or disadvantage (as I've read chicas tend to quote us folks high prices, but going to put my negotiating skills to the test). I pretty much know what to expect after spending days reading up on the forum. But a few quick questions: As the general going rate seems to be around $60 for HK and surrounding areas and cheaper for SG's, how much time does that buy? 30 mins avg? Or until job is done? Or depends on the chica? I like TLN, but doesn't seem like many people go for it or may be not worth the time / money, what would be a reasonable amount? Thanks!

I'll be staying at Las Cascadas, so if any vets out there would like to show me the ropes, first chica drink on me!

SG = 15 to 20 minutes or until finished.

TLN is just much harder to arrange, so often not worth the effort for the occasional visitor

After all, these chicas hear horror stories about killings that occur from mongers when they bring their chicas back to their hotels. But since your staying at Cascadas, it shouldn't be a problem. I used your example on the other Tijuana thread of using good judgement in securing a "date" for your friend. Sometimes you need a second opinion in "regulating" these chicas (kudos!) It also helps the decision when YOU are paying!

OK. With the contexts, I am going to have to assume that TLN stands for "toda la noche" or "all night" or "stay the night."

This topic of TLN has not been discussed much. I always wanted to discuss about it, but in a way I also didn't want the discussion because I wanted to keep it by myself. In other words, I didn't want other mongers to know about the possibilities of arranging TLA because it is just bad in the long run.

But now that a fellow member has asked about it, I will just say one thing:

In Tijuana (specifically with hkb) TLN is easily obtainable but it will cost you in many aspects, not only money. Don't try it on your first time, please.

Was there last night and I have to admit, the talent is much better than my last visit. There were 10 girls there that I easily would love to go arriba with. But I was limited by my time and money. LOL. Hell, I wish I could remember all there names but I can tell you, HK has improved itself. My buddy surprised me when he said the girl he was talking to said $60 right off the bat and didn't even try to start off at $80. Lets keep this going guys.
