As Malaysian. American myself experienced this, but I do not blame them.

I seen myself 5 Indians sharing one beer while looking at the girl like they gona gang rape, getting drunk and shouting at the crowed and having terrible bad body odor.

Numerous Indians shouting and rubbing on someone's girlfriends, constant eye bowling girls in the bar makes everyone uncomfortable.

When I go to club, I immediately pull out my Passport card and show it to bouncer and I never been stopped or questioned once.

Remmember bro, Thai people bow to anyone who comes with money and your nationality is irrelevant.

Biggest spender in nana plaza go go bars are Indians not Koreans or European or Americans.

Any yes big smile and positive attitude goes long way.

I spent the next 30 minutes there and picked up a cute 24 year old for the night.

While flying out, at the Bangkok airport customs, a white guy told me "you are not supposed to cut the line". I may have engulfed in my phone texting that I may have swayed from my intended line. But the prejudiced notion in the mind of that person to think it was intentional and that he need to remind me was interesting to say the least. Back in America, I would have never received prejudices like that.

I like Bangkok, I even got in touch with a real-estate agent and saw few properties, a Condo so I can spend a month or two a year there but I am contemplating now. I almost finalized a Condo in Ashton behind Terminal 21 but after this Levels incident I don't know if I can live in Bangkok proudly.[/QUOTE]

I just looked in my passport and it say place of birth: USA. When I showed up at my Embassy in Bangkok my fellow Americans treated me: well like I was an American. Only a subset of individuals here in Thailand that are from America think and treat others in a lesser fashion. When I have run into them in person, they left our encounter with the thought that maybe just maybe they need to save those attitudes for when they return to their country of origin. Because this is Thailand.

My attitude that if I am in Thailand and a place does not want to let me in, that simply means they don't want my money. I don't trip when a girl does not respond to me on Thai Friendly, or a girl that I am interested in doesn't pay attention to me once I'm in the club. I choose the girls who choose me. All I have to say is that bar owners who feel they can pick and choose their customers are doing pretty well. Because as a business owner I have never felt I could say not to a customer on sight because of the way they looked. My business needs the money until you prove to me that you are difficult customer.

Finially if some is sitting in a corner in a bar or club judging me then writing about it on an obscure website from their country of origin, well I'd say it is of no significance. Especially if I had a good of time as I had in Thailand tonight. Pattaya; not Bangkok.

India is changing and mind you Indians too, but the latter is a slow process, I agree. Yes there are good and then there are not so good travelers. Yes those to travelling from the Indian sub-continent are poor travelers. For many its their first and they take this opportunity to go all out, some of them are are low on ethics morals and customary behaviors. Let them not allow you to generalise the entire nation, after all Indians are extremely high spenders at most places in Thailand. This is the same as meeting an American on a trip and assuming he will pull out a gun and fire aimlessly in the public, don't allow the imagination of the mind run wild. LOL.

I just wanted to let people know about my setbacks and dilemma on going back to Thailand.
