I might be missing something...
Maybe your not liked because your an ASSHOLE!
You should try to act like a good person most of the time, not when you want something, i.e. money to support poor people!
Wake up IDiota!
I might be missing something...in fact I know I'm missing something but it sounds like AG is trying to do some good in this shit hole of a world we live in...what's wrong with that?
Did AG kill a bus load of nuns and orphans or some junk? Why are the negativity?
Not in town but would like to help
Many times I have sent things (TV, Toys, food, clothing) for my children from Exito via the internet Virtualexito.com; if I do the same would be able to send the packages? Please ask in El Exito if they will arrange to purchase from their website.
Also, I have know several poor families in my visits that have been too proud to take my cash (or sell their souls), how can they benefit from this kindness.
Thanks for allowing all who partake, give back.
Mike
Slamcity 7777 and Larenzo,
Thanks very much for your responce guy's, yes there is another side of Medellin, "the real one"
We at the Mansion have what we call the Tourist Police, they look after all issues with the hotels here in Poblado and call in a few times each week to have a sandwich, coke and a chit-chat, we find out whats going on in Medellin ect.
They asked us one year to donate to the Cancer Hospital in San Vincente at christmas time which we and many of our guests also donated, plus guy's on this board to, many of our guests went with us to the party that they held at the hospital.
Seeing children dieing of cancer was a big shock but we all had a great time for a few hours and gave out many presents, many other hotels, Macdonalds ect gave big time to.
What we have now in Medellin is that many families are without food so the Police asked us to donate again or to see what we could do.
Exito make up food parcels which cost about 20,000 pesos, you can buy them, drop them of at the Mansion and when we have enough, we call the police, they give us a couple of days notice and then we go up and donate, they have people on the groud up there and it gets to the real people in need, we go along for the ride.
Its best if you go to Exito your self and purchase what you think you can afford, we dont want to deal in money, but we do if somebody sends it by Money Gram ect.
Thats about it mate's, you can call Marcy here in the Mansion office, she'll be very happy to help out with the drop off's and what time we go up the mountain.
Her number is 266 8626 and e-mail is info@medellinmansion.com
Aussie G.
Hello Greg,
I'll be in Mede in mid Nov. and would very much like to help some poor families....see the "other side" of mede...
I'm not a scared of going to the hood, I'm Asian, sort of brown, dark haired, and in the 5foot-5-8 height range that common in South America...long story short I don't stick out like a 6 foot gringo... and but if the cops do come...what ever...
I'd like more info about this thing your doing, is this your private charity? just a good deed you're doing? just something you do?
Either way it's great IMO

Rio de Janeiro & The Olimpics !
Hi guys,
Enlighten me please. I keep hearing on the news about how dangerous Brazil and Rio de Janeiro are with 38 murders a day in Brazil, third in the World. How they would have to built up walls around poor neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro because of crimes and danger to tourists if the Olimpics were held there. What's up with that? Never heard any of these comments by fellow mongers who travel to Brazil. Only hear good things all the time about Rio. And what finally happened with The Help Discoteque? Any info. Will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Frank Casio!
