I've scoured the internet, and have travelled the globe, and I got some time on my hands, so I might as well ask. No better place than here in the UAE pages. I travel and monger solo and this forum has been of great help in making these trips successful, safe and enjoyable. This is my first post here so I would like to give summary of my last trip to Dubai which was Feb this year. I have made 2 trips to Dubai overall and my first trip was in Oct 2022. I have mostly kept to places discussed in this forum so nothing new to add, just sharing my experience.

Day 1: Arrived on Friday I believe and checked in to my hotel Crown Plaza Deira (around 10 pm). The hotel mentions 5 stars but its more like 3 star given the room and facilities plus the building is very old. The hotel is green as I confirmed it before booking. Also, I noticed very few people in the lobby late in the night so walk of shame is not that bad. Headed to Premiere around 11:30 pm and it had lot of WGs plus some punters. Very good ratio as expected based on my experience last trip. Entry is 200 with no drinks which sucks. I stayed for about an hour but didn't found anyone I fancied. My experience with Airbnb. Mostly in SE Asia. I book the entire apartment, and at the time of booking chat with the host and tell them that I might have some friends dropping in to meet me. But no one stays the night. Since I am not sure who will come at the time of booking, I offer to send their ID when / if they come in. You can ask the WG for her ID when you get her and share it with the host later too. Have done it a couple of times in BKK and Jakarta with no issues.

Just don't try to fool them. Since they usually keep tabs on guests with the apartment security, cameras, etc. They might know who came in, so better to share the ID yourself.
