The tip I mentioned to find green hotels was in case if you want to avoid a phone call or messaging the host in case of Airbnb. Believe it or not, in my experience sometimes hotels give vague response when asked over a phone call. For example Capitol hotel is totally green but in my first trip when I called to check, they strictly said no outside visitors allowed.
