Indian based Baku Group intends to turn Avenue Mall to a 3rd gogo bar area in Pattaya set to open March 31,2020. It will be named Avenue Plaza. Baku Group runs Baku lounge, Baku 6, why Bar, Bachelor's A Go Go, The Roof, 15th Avenue and Sensations Bar. Sensations bar is a ladyboy bar. It IS NOT Sensations a gogo on Walking Street.
Now I can go to Villa Market then bring my groceries and toilet paper in to a gogo bar at Avenue Plaza.

I am an American too, and I do not haggle. Please rest assured that I am NOT trying to increase prices for my fellow mongerers.
I do not haggle for a few reasons. First, I earn at least 200 - 300 times more money than the street vendor. It's bad karma to fleece the poor. Second (this one relates specifically to mongering), haggling often leads to crappy service. I will say that I have often asked for a lower price when accepting an absurdly high price would make me look exceedingly foolish; foolish guys, like cheap ones, also get bad service. Under these circumstances, if a reasonable reduction is not immediately and happily forthcoming, I walk away.

I haggle all the time and next to never receive crappy service. Can you tell about a time that you haggled and received crappy service? Can you tell about a time that you did not haggle and received crappy service? How do you know that it was the haggling (and not something else) that led to the crappy service? There is absolutely no way to conclude this unless the girl told you straight up the reason she gave you crappy service is because you haggled.
When I get a taxi at BKK airport I go upstairs and haggle with the guys for 900 baht. I never receive crappy service. Unless the guys paying 1500 baht are receiving massages and being fed grapes by hand, as far as I know it is the same ride they are getting.
Just because someone provides a service does not mean they are great at providing the service whether you haggle with them or not. I ended up taking one shop that worked on my motorcycle to court because of crappy service. It took them 7 months to do a job they told me it would take 1 month to do. They lost parts to my bike. They did not replace all the bolts to my bike. My bike was still not running right when they returned it to me and I had to pay another shop $600 to do it right after I had already paid them $1800. I did not haggle with them. I paid the price they told me. So what was their excuse for providing crappy service?
And dare I mention FL Hawk's report when he got the girl from the Walking Street gogo spending about 10,000 baht just to receive crappy service. What is the excuse for that? Meanwhile I have haggled for 1000 baht with the same chicks that charge exorbitant fees in these gogo bars and received excellent service.
Haggling means shit toward the service you get. You can get great service for free and you can get shitty service even if you pay the $1,000,000 original asking price.

It makes no difference what "we" make, it's all about the local economy.

Used to visit often and found some nice hidden gems there but can also be a horror show. No big deal it's free to walk in and out. Girl to guy ratio was always good at Bachelor since usually only had less than 5 guys. It was also a fairly dirty bar no one reviews on here. Pear used to work there before too luring customers in to the bar until Kink stole her away.
edit - I may have gone in to Baku Soi 6 too for some shade one day.

Pattaya is already overflowing with a lot of gogo bars that are lucky to have five people in them.
Or maybe some existing gogo bars will relocate??
Catering particularly to Indian clientele is a good idea as according to reports and TAT data they are the number one tourists who have the money.

He is still with that Thai girl years later and living in an apartment in the USA with her. He still has basically no money to his name and he never did pay any dowry. And the kicker is that Thai girl is still very good to him. He won all the way around.

Baku Lounge had girls at the previous location. Went to the new location when after they moved in, and had 2 girls. Supposedly they got more now, I'll have to go by it again. The two Baku bars on Soi 6 are constantly dead. Only the New one was Hopping on it's opening day, but its been dead since then. Common problem: not enough girls. Out of all of them, I like Club Baku. I'll keep going back there at least for one beer.

I wish them luck.[/QUOTE]It should be noted the new landlord group is Baku (Indian Billionaire) he basically made an offer to the Thai owners who built and run the Avenue for 9 years. The Thai owners had the money to built but since day one had problems filling and keeping tenants it must have been one big headache with Tenants constantly coming and going. Baku makes a great offer to run the Avenue now the Thai owners just sit back and collect the rent from Baku.
Baku being the new landlord couldn't care less directly whether bars or gogo find enough girls that is directly the renter problem although it would benefit him greatly that all business runs in the black. To fill the Avenue he is taking less rent rumor like half of what bars and gogos are paying to top that off he isn't asking for key money upfront to rent that is of major importance to anyone wanting to rent in Pattaya especially in areas like WS and LK.
I just had dinner last night at the new location for Tequila Reef in Welcome town. The TR use to be on Soi 7, for twenty plus years. I was told their lease was for 3 years each renewal just to have the privilege of leasing they had to lay out 3 million baht never return that doesn't include the rent each month. A beer bar I was told went for something like 50,000 baht each month and it also included key money. There is a hair salon between 7-8 closer to Beach Road, a shack pay 50,000 baht a month and another 10,000 baht for electricity and water. Regardless of the area 7-8 business closing the Thai landowner family has no intention of lowering rent in fact it seems as we say all the time when times are bad to raise the prices which is why TR decided to leave.
Whether Baku can make the Avenue successful I'm thankful that there are more options because what isn't going to change is places opening and closing. Many of the BB, Nightwish group? Even rumor the reason why the Happy group closed Peppermint a possible move to get in first. Rent is half with no key money! Smart move so far?
As for Baku, so call Gentlemens clubs opening all over the place same as the Nightwish group I've been to the majority of them once they are all the same not a lot of customers reason why not enough girls you lay on your back and spread your legs to make money and that requires customer they are daytime places mostly reason pretty much empty at night. Every time I go in for the first time they think I'm police.
