The day manager at the old Bermuda Bar lost her her job when it closed a couple years ago. Resourceful as ever, she moved around the corner and opened a "Beauty Salon", manicure and hair place. She kept a few cold ones on ice for me. She enlarged it, put in a small bar and renamed it Rosa's Cafe. I told her next time I came down I wanted to see it changed to "Rosa's Cantina", I thought it sounded more like a bar.

Well, in December I was there, and the sign had changed to La Cantina Rosa, and the bar had been enlarged, repainted, and adorned with Christmas lights. Business had picked up accordingly and she had hired the old night manager from Bermuda Bar, Tomas, to help with the bar. I've known these people for 9 years, and they are like family to me. So it was a taste of the old Sosua for me.

I took one of my PP chicas to Radio Hardware and she bought paint and brushes and did a mural on the plain wall to cover up some cracks.

Anyway Rosa has a stable of girls that are good for hair, nails, a cold beer and even a massage.

As for the cost, the mani and pedi take a couple of hours, while I'm having a couple beers so I'm not sure of the cost, but the haircut is the best in town, (Sara).

Careful though, she uses a plain old razor blade to clean up the hairline. :)

I am bad with names but what I think the location is, is opposite the (Canadian?) Hamburger place. Corner of Rosen and Pedro Clissante, going towards Casa Valeria. I would look for Cantina Rosa even though I cannot unfortunately use your name as a reference. LOL.

La Cantina de Rosa! You literally can get everything there. There's even a banyo in back. LOL She brings me Dominican sopa from home, and sells the cheap packaged noodle stuff to the local ladies. While we were painting, she made some pollo and rice behind the curtain on a single hot plate.

She's open 10am til 2am.

I can see why all the ex-pats I know have local wives :)

The place is very attractive. Maybe the best venue in Sosua but it is in an awful location. About 2 miles from center city. You have to get a cab to get there. To far and to dark to use a moto coacho. It had the same girls as city lights " Haitians. " I love Haitian woman but their is always friction with them and Dominican girls. They were using the DJ from Classicos who is terrible. He modifies the music with his own spin. he manages to fuck up Romeo Santos songs. As in realestate it is aboutt loacation. The owner spent a fortune on the place and it shows. Short of moving to center city Sosua it is a flop.

Are there any other communities (houses or apartments) in Sosua that allows chicas to hangout without any issues? I visited Sosua back in 2016 for the first time with 3 friends and stayed in Hispaniola (a gated community) and they where cool with the chica visits.

I no longer fool with him. I am openly hostile to him. He must be related to someone.

Mr. Lamar Odom was spotted in Club 59 (formerly Clasicos I believe) on New Year's Eve. He drank up a storm and caroused with the local provider. We've seen this movie before when it was set in Las Vegas.

I only know the name from the unavoidable headlines on Yahoo News and similar news websites. (I am quick to say that I have never watched the Kardashian family reality show, which is a low point benchmark for television). The fellow is perhaps more famous for being a Kardashian ex-husband with a serious drug problem than for basketball. The fact that he was in Sosua versus Punta Cana may speak for his current disposable income.

He looked like a giraffe and on top of that he had on a full length thick sweater. They brought the finest chic in meringue over to him and felt sorry for the girl.

The guy survived death and got a second chance at life and he heads to Sosua.
