He is best known for being a star player with the storied Los Angeles Lakers franchise. The drugs and reality show stuff came late in his career and made him known to those who don't follow American sports.
Sir Charles, The bloke in question is a former US pro basketball player, who was probably more famous for marrying one of the reality show Kardashian sisters. I only know the name from the unavoidable headlines on Yahoo News and similar news websites. (I am quick to say that I have never watched the Kardashian family reality show, which is a low point benchmark for television). The fellow is perhaps more famous for being a Kardashian ex-husband with a serious drug problem than for basketball. The fact that he was in Sosua versus Punta Cana may speak for his current disposable income.

I have no idea who Lamar Odom is (surely no-one would name their child that? Is it an anagram of "doom alarm" or "mama drool"?) but Clasico has been signed "Club 59" since I have been coming to Sosua (13 years plus). Maybe since 1959?
LOL! Good to know that I am not the only one wondering who on earth was this Odom. But then, I have stopped watching TV, it has been at least 7-8 years. BTW, there is a senator here called Lamar Alexander, unless you are wondering about the second part of his name.

Apparently basketball players are happy to pay for sex too. No surprise there.

Be cool though, remember he's on vacation too.
(maybe catch him in the bathroom?)
Methinks you do protest too much. You are obviously a fanatical (if closeted) fan of the show.
Et tu, Charles? Sir, you wrong me. You can't turn on the tv or look at news headlines here without being bombarded with what the Kardashian family did today, who did what to whom, etc. Their reality show has been making this untalented, superficial, surgically enhanced family a fortune for years. To my great shame, my otherwise intelligent daughter is a fan of the show. Just one of many reality shows proving that despite the potential for tv to inform and elevate, it was predictable that it would cater to the lowest, most common elements of society. I almost miss the cooking and gardening shows that dominate BBC programming (almost). A Happy New Year to you, sir.
Arriving into Santiago st 243 am on spirit. What do you guys who do this flight typically do? It's a really inconvenient time. Better to get a hotel that night in Santiago and sleep until 11 I guess? Are there any close to the airport?

You can drive by Pasion and International "Gozamba" car wash to see if they're still open.
You can stay at Hotel LOS Jardines, the doorman will be happy to call a girl for you. Actually he'll call a pimp who'll drive his hoe over. I've done this once and it wasn't good. YMMV though.
Or, you can stay at any one of the many cabanas. I chit-chatted with an attendant once and he too was showing me on his phone, pictures of available girls for out-call.

I'm lucky enough to always have non-stop to Sosua, but I have often been in a similar predicament on my travels.
What I found always worked for me in a new situation, is first a good sleep. Then a good breakfast. Now you are thinking straight and in true vacation mode!
Why hurry? The action in Sosua will always keep, and you may be more inclined to follow your well rested nose to closer pussy opportunities that present themselves! (If you are a regular visitor with a well worn reliable routine, that's a different matter).
The whole thing to to enjoy your vacation.
Good luck!
Post a report.
Just made another visit to the DR and for the first time I have stepped foot in Sosua. I normally play the field in places like Cabarete or Puerto Plata & Blackbeards. I was hesitant of Sosua but also heard many great things about it in terms of the women. My expectations were for a point and click environment with plenty of decent looking options. While the point and click part was indeed accurate the quality of the women really left something to be desired.
I probably won't ever set foot in Sosua again. It was good for me to get there and experience it to know that I am not missing out on anything.
The quality of the women and options in Cabarete was also significantly decreased from years past.
I think I found my niche spot at BB's and in the late night when I want to venture out in PP. Plus by this point I have built up such a roster I don't even need to venture out anymore to find new talent.
To each his own.

To each his own.
Well, we have had torrential rains here for 9 days straight. That's really cleared the sreets. Plus it was post Navidad and Nuevo Anno. Hope that wasn't the problem. But glad you got organized at BB's.
You are right about building up a roster. I can't remember when last took a stranger back to my place!
On another note Rumba is still not open, but work has started on the old D'Latin place!

I arrange for my hotel in Sosua to be awaiting my 430- 5 am-ish arrival and I crash when I get there, wake up, free breakfast, hit the streets early!
I love Sosua because I can find what ever I am in the mood for. I am curious where you were looking. A bad night in Classicos blows the doors off a great night in BB IMHO. You have to know and go where the action is. If you are looking for 8's,9's and 10's Classicos is the venue. I rarely go there because very pretty face is not indicative of great sex. I look for a little chemistry from the chicas I bang. Like you said to each his own. I have been to BB and will never go again.

There wasn't a single one I would rate over a 6. It was also a sausage fest. At least a 2 x 1 guy / girl ratio.
I like to fade the field by hitting up Puerto Plata at night when I have the desire to go out. It has allowed me to build up a substantial roster of non BB girls so I can import if necessary.
I'm curious as to why you wouldn't go back to BB's? What happened?
