I got some good suggestions about in-Shang massage. Thanks!
Any ideas about my other question: a club where I can take my GF? I don't want a pure girly bar, or she won't go. So, I am looking for dancing, or a live band, or a cabaret show -- but a place that also has girls working or dancing or both. Two years ago I brought a girl in similar circumstances, and found an excellent club that had dancing girls, girls working the floor, but also a live band, and it worked great. Stupidly, I forgot the name and location. (Sorry!
I am trying to gradually take her to harder and harder locations.
Bangkok beat on sukh soi 7/1 has 2 bands per night, good relaxed atmosphere and a mix of P4 P and groups of girls out for a party.
Planning the upcoming annual mongering trip to LOS. Usually, I refill any prescriptions (antibiotics, high blood pressure meds) while in Bangkok. Last time, two pharmacies on the Sukhumvit, one next to Bullys, the other next to the Majestic Suites, would not sell me any alprazolam (Xanax) even though I had a prescription. They both said that I had to go to a hospital to buy alprazolam. Maybe they are cracking down. Anyone know a 'friendlier' pharmacy in Bangkok that I might try?
Warthog.
Hit a few pharmacies off of Suk & look for smaller 1 person shops. Expect higher prices, and to hear a no or two, but you will.
Eventually find one that will accommodate your needs.
I have been using one on Soi 22 for years. Sorry no address, it's on the right side about 1. 5 blocks from Suk.
The bigger shops and chains will all most likely say no.

I'll be travelling to Thailand in late September. I was here (for the first time) three years ago, and made some notes on prices.
Beer bar: ST 5-700 baht, 1000 LT.
Gogo: 1500-2000ST, 3-5000 LT.
Tip 200-600 depending on service.
Bar fines 300 beer bar, 600 gogo (depending what time it is).
Are these still accurate? I'll mostly be going to Soi Cowboy this time.

I have had success at the pharmacy next to Thermae although was not buying anything too exotic- South East Pharmacy I think it is called. Has a guy selling copy watches outside. Good luck.

I would not know for beerbars, in Bangkok I'm strictly an a-gogo and MP guy.
But prices are very variable and there is no rhyme or reason to it.
I am thinking about making a short trip to BKK in the new week or so.
However I was just wondering if if my usual gal EE is presently work at Dr. BJ's salon? I am sure I read some where that she had some time off recently.
If she isn't working at the moment, does anyone have a name or no. They could recommend for some very good BJ service from there at Dr. BJ's or any other oily or soapy or BJ institution in BKK?
Thanks very much in advance.
About 15 years ago, I was in Lima, Peru and meet a guy who claimed to be a "homeless" American who had been robbed of all his possessions. He gave me some strange story as to why the US embassy wouldn't help him. I took pity and gave him $20. A couple of days later, I told someone of this guy's plight and I was told that this guy was well-known for giving foreign tourists his sad story. He'd been doing it for many years. Interestingly, I've read of similar "stories" of "homeless" Americans, Germans, Dutch, etc in Quito, Rio, Mexico City, and Phuket.
It's possible there might be some truth to this guy's story, but it seems more like a scam especially when a fundraiser is involved. Who controls how the money is spent? Is he going to use the money to buy a ticket home or will he continue to stay in Bangkok? If he returns back to Sweden, he'll still be homeless.
...I had a prescription. Most pharmacies won't sell psychoactive molecules to people they don't know because there have been stings. The ones that will could be dicey. Be prepared to be given a really good going over when you go back home.

What do you think is the fastest way to get from the airport to Nana BTS station on Wednesday at about 8 am, airport rail link or taxi?
