Also Avenida 8 and 9 have a lot of bars and restaurants as well. All of these areas are walkable and safe.

I've been to Colombia twice. My opinion of where I've visited: Bogota: Cold, sleepy during the week, fun on weekends, the girls out at the bars are 8/10. You can negotiate prior to getting in the taxi if you like 15-20k pesos max. Or else it can cost you 30k plus. Stick to Granada (like a very downgraded Parque lleras) and especially Menga (my favorite) Its like la 33 in Medellin.

Cali is great for non-pros that you can meet prior to your vacation via ONLINE sites. In the bars they travel in bunches mist of the time with guys and it will be like any other Club scene.
