Since most BG in AC are not hardcore sex workers, a little GFE goes a long way!
You don't have to spend a ton of money on them either. My MO is to take them dancing either before or after the first round because what red blooded Filipina does not like to go dancing!? While I am not absolutely sure, I would bet that they quote in Dollars when the dollar is high, and in Pesos when the Dollar is low.

The recent gain in the USD means that they are cleaning up in terms of the local currency.

So over the past year or so when the dollar was tanking, people from the US were hurting. Now when the USD is stronger and people from there should be getting stuff cheaper, they have fixed the price.

You might like to ask them what happens if the USD tanks again - will they guarantee that same USD rate and not ask for it in Pesos.

Yeah both Pacific Breeze & Central Park quote prices in USD, and recently PB have put up their prices in USD that was at the period when the dollar was weaker, so in the last two weeks prices have gone up by 200 pesos. So only the Yanks will benefit from this, higher prices for the rest of us.

Few Eastern European countries use same tactics like Czech Republic and Poland by Charging in Euros, now their currency both zloty and Czech crown have got stronger so they put a new price list in Euros, of course Higher.

Still there are Hotels like Hotel Royal Amsterdam and Swiss Chalet who charge local currency so it will be all of us loss if the peso gets stronger but our gain if it gets weaker against major currencies.

One thing to watch out for is the US$/pesos exchange rate they use when charging you at checkout.

It's easy for a hotel to quote in US$ and charge you in pesos at a bad exchange rate.

Thanks for the replies, I have not been asked for a deposit so I will ask them to confirm the price in pesos when they ask me to confirm the booking four days before I arrive.

My hotel in Manila was booked through Asiarooms and they allow you to pay in whatever currency you prefer ------ but the booking has to be pre-paid in full.

You can now fly BKK to Clarke one way for 5, 438thb flight No 942 departs
4. 20pm arrives 8. 25pm. Saves a lot of fucking about getting from Manila!
Only starts flying on 8th November!

Its breaking news, but I wanted to share it with all of the members here as to some it may be cause for alarm (but that decision imo rests with each individual). Cherry's Club (a bar in AC, past checkpoint on perimeter road, next to Club Stampede and near the location of the ABC hotel for locational reference) was raided earlier (sometime around the 6:30ish or so time frame). I have it from a witness on the ground who states that he saw the entire bar staff being carted off/taken away and that the persons conducting the raid were heavily armed (had guns). I also have other sources who have told me the same thing from other sources. I am unable at this time to know who (which gov agency) conducted the raids, but when I do get more confirmed details I will be sure to post the updates here.


This is yet another saddening day to mark on the AC RAID calendar, a year which has seen more AC raid activity that any other years that i can remember. When will it end (if ever)? your guess is as good as mine, but certainly this is going to add to the continuing decline for Angeles City as a mongering destination.

Wow, I was in there this weekend! I saw about 1/2 dozen Filipino males sitting in the corner. Interestingly, every time one them called down a girl from the stage, the chosen girl refused to sit near them let alone come down the stage. It looked like a Rodney Dangerfield's "no respect" moment. I'm not sure if it's related but I left because the girls looked really nervous at the time.

i assume they are after finding ****d girls, so if all bar only have girls of the correct age, then in the end they would not need to have these raids!

i planed to come to ac again in early september, but i cancelled for two reasons. 1 after reading report from the horse about security issues in ac, and how the tourist police are no longer patrolling. and 2 it was so nice in thailand, where you could go to a smoke free bar or restaurant.

the cops in ac are looking for targets of opportunity, plain and simple. in fact cherry's was widely reputed to employ ****d girls, though as far as i know all the marginally young ones were cherry girls and didn't go with customers. so yes, perhaps against the law only technically, but that's all it takes to attract those entrepreneurial fellows in uniforms . . . .

to answer the question of what happens to customers that are inside the bar when it is raided, it is a not a simple answer. it all depends on the gov agency conducting the raid. in the past, there have been customers immediately told to pay their bills and leave, customers have been held inside the bar for 30 minutes, customers have been held inside the bar for 3+ hours (allowed no food or water and the like) and the most severe case, was when there were two (2) customers who were arrested for attending a bold show (lock-in party), the customers were released 5+ hours later, but were arrested. the customers were not charged with a crime, as the distric attorney's office saw no evidence of wrong doing on behalf of the two customers, but they were still arrested.
so it all depends, there is no "set" way or procedure.

as for why the raids happen. there are many possibilities/motives. some are actually legit and are looking for **** staff, but even in this case, the real motive is money. most raids are financially motivated. once in a blue moon a raid will happen where the real intention is to "rescue" the workers, but those are far and few between.

as for ac becoming smoke free, i will give my opinion, which is, that is decades away from happening, most of the customers now are asians, all of whom smoke, so that will probably not happen anytime soon.

update on the cherry's club raid

it appears as though the clark based nbi were the ones who conducted the raid.
information for a source of mine said that a girl who works there, txt him and said she was at the clark nbi building, but he received no further txts from her after that. its not uncommon for the agents/officials to confirep001e cell phones when they see them, but some girls are good at hiding them.

more newly gained information has it that the owner of the bar was caught up in the raid as well and was taken "into custody" by the clark nbi. no word yet if he has been released or of his status
