Billy has Nth American friends who were in Rio every month for years - but now they go to Pattaya or Angeles City 60 to 70% of the time rather than Rio.
If you are wondering why - take a look at what Billy had in 4 days in Angeles City last week. As I have said many times before - the Rio girls are far superior to any girls I have had anywhere else in the world - BUT - check out these girls - all 18 to 22yo - US$30 to US$50 - one was US$80 - for up to 20 hours if you want them.

Very nice pics. I'm heading to Angeles on the way back from Rio and some other Brasilian cities soon (yes it's possible lol). But many of us don't just go to Rio for pussy. I genuinely love Brasil almost as much as my home country. Having pussy on tap at some sort of manageable price is just a necessity like food and clean water. Everyone to their own - I think last time this came up there was about a 50/50 split (mongers who just want pussy, and mongers who want Brasil with pussy thrown in). There's not a right and a wrong. And AC is an alternative if you just want pussy. But I haven't found a country in the world that can do what Brasil and its people do for me.

I totally agree with you Chris and that's also how I feel about Brasil and Rio, specially the last part of your beautiful quote. Now, a good alternative within Brasil and even within Rio to the ever increasing crazy price inflation of termas is to simpy learn the language, and venture out of the touristy places. By doing this, you'll be able to get all the non pro action you'd want and you'd be able to handle. Even within Rio that is very possible. Not only that will make the experience in Rio/Brasil 10000 times better but also you may end up saving some cash in the process too as you'll make some local friendships and they would show you around to good places both for mongering/picking up non pros but also for normal touristy stuff.
Another alternative within Brasil is to start exploring other cities, specially in the interior of the country where there are true gems of cities, which are far more safer than Rio and the people are not as jaded as in Rio. Which cities I can hear some of you asking? Well, take a look at a map of Brasil and pick any city other than Rio, SP and I'd even add Fortaleza. The options are truly endless.
However, in these places, language is important, if not vital as very few people speak any english in these parts. However, learn the language, get to these less visited places and you'll have a blast. There are loads of gems of cities all over Brasil where one could spend a lifetime in these cities having the time of their life. Oh and did I say that in these cities, everything is a lot cheaper than in Rio and SP?:)
So yes, while the termas are driving themselves out of business with their ridiculous pricing policies, gents, there are alternatives, which are as attractive if not more attractive than what we currently have, all within Rio and if one is a tad bit more adventurous, then that's where all the true fun begins in the proverbial "the sky's the limit" in terms scoring opportunities with both sweet non pros and pros, at a fraction of the termas' prices, in other parts of this humoungous country that we all love, called BRASIL.

Do you have a random bullshit generator (sort of like a Magic 8 Ball) that you use to come up with your posts? It is no secret that operating a termas is illegal and to stay in business people have to be paid. No doubt this has been going on since day one and has nothing to do with the Olympics.

In looking for better value than what was paid at Solarium last night, I decided to go for a good bang-for-the-buck place during the day and headed to Belprazer. I've never been there, but read a couple of good reports, most recently from Hughdad. I hopped on the Metro Subway and got off the Carioca exit. Right across the street was Ave Rio Branco 185 building - very convenient. I noticed the elevators only go to the 20th floor and this place was located at #2114. You have to get to the 20th floor and take the stairs up to the 21st floor.
I got there at 3p, rang the doorbell and the Mamasan answered. Very nice lady, speaks fluent English. She said she had 20 girls but some were busy, so I was introduced to about 10 girls. Of the 10 girls, I wrote down 3 names that I considered sessioning with. Then out came a couple of other girls (Mari and Leticia) - stunners, but of course already booked. I've read reviews on Leticia on [i]gpguia.net[/i] so it's not shocking she was booked. I wrote down their names for maybe a future visit. There were 3 other guys who had booked girls and were waiting on a room. I got her number and called her later that night - we agreed upon meeting at my apartment this Friday at 8p for a 2 hour programa. That day is so far away, she'll probably flake.
After the session was up, I showered and left. I paid upfront before the session, which is the norm at these casas. I chose the R$80 for 40 minutes. I am planning to hit Monte Carlo later tonight, so I didn't need a full hour. However, for R$100, you can have a 1 hour session. What a great deal! They even had a dupla special for R$140! I will probably return sometime this week at 10:30a (recommended time by the Mamasan) so I can meet every girl, and then make an appointment to book that special lady later that day. Getting there at 10:30a is also a good way to book a dupla with your 2 top choices of the house.

Tuesday is coupon day at Monte Carlo - R60 off the cabine fee if you get a 40 minute session. This place is so hit-or-miss, but I always give it a chance on every trip because you never know what you are going to get. I decided to hit MC a little bit later than usual. I got there at 9p tonight and the place was jumpin'. There were about 30 girls and 15 guys. A lot of new faces. There were at least 4 girls in the lot that I wanted to session with.
I first sit down with a girl named Eloa, who was a 19 year old spinner from Bahia. This is her first terma - she used to work at the mall. Things didn't go very far with this girl - she was a terrible kisser. So then I sat down with a cute thin blonde named Ingrida. She asked if I wanted to spend time with her friend. It was close to midnight, so I left and paid R210 (R270 - R60 discount). Come to think of it, today I had 2 very good 40-minute sessions and ended up paying R290. Yesterday, I had a so-so session at Solarium and paid R270 and that was with a R40 discount. 4x4 is on the plate for the rest of the week!

The bottom line is we are all noticing increasing prices. And in a down economy, with a lagging dollar, it likes a triple blow to the head. And even though we all have different styles and tastes, we all like to get a bargain on our trim. Get the most "Bang for our Buck" (literally.)
As I mentioned here before in some emails aimed at newbies (being a 18-month mongering newbie myself) there are gems of info to be found in these forums from the guys that have been doing it for years. Rather than come on here and just fire away questions, I quickly researched these forums. Starting with the Bwana Dik report (which I found googling, to the Bubba Boy reports to the Sperto centro casa maps. I was able to develop so game plans and go forth with confidence. Each trip into Rio I ventured out more and explored new neighborhoods. Next week I am staying in Centro for 4 weeknights and heading to Copa just for Saturday night. I got a nice "girl-friendly" hotel room for R$129 /night (plus one night free for rewards points) and will visit the Centro casa, 4 x 4 and maybe Cancun (a termas I like which is not discussed much here. I have found some great beuatiful performers there that then came to my Centro hotel for GFE TLN). BelPrazer has turned out to be a real find. Plus it is easy for ScortShow ladies to get to my hotel and while some of their ladies do not live up to their website photos, I have been having some got luck with their ladies too lately. So a morning 40-minute session at BelPrazer and a 2 hour afternoon session with a ScortShow/Karla Models lady breaks up my work days in Centro for R$200 very nicely and I don't spend a ton of time traveling around. It is 5 minutes to BelPrazer from my Centro hotel and the ScortShow ladies come to me. Somedays I do without a termas visit altogether (although I do have fun in that atmosphere.)
Azn, your double-header game plan is a perfect way to counter the termas pricing. Especially when you use the termas coupons.

being a prostitute is legal, pimping is not. for a termas to exist people have to be paid to look the other way. when they fall behind on their payments is when you hear about places being raided because of **** girls.

To me. What Christopherd, Sperto and Sprite123 (and others) have been saying in recent posts is spot on.
I am now staying in Brazil 4 to 5 months a year with plans to be here nearly full-time in a few years. I am starting some business ventures here and I own a small home in a nice size MG city (after a Brazilian friend could not repay a loan I made to him a few years back.) It has become a convenient home base for me in Brazil without any expenses. I have a Brazilian lady friend (just a friend that I met through my Brazilian friend that I lent $ to) that lives in the home full-time and takes care of things there for me. She has studied English hard over the past 18 months and because of this she now is assuming some personal business assistant roles for me (booking travel, setting up meetings and conference calls, expense reports, driving me around in the VW Fox I bought for the house). Good for her as I am able to pay her and she can work from home. It was birthday on Saturday and I had a big party for her in the garage of our home (which is huge for a smaller house and can fit 4 cars as it runs under the house). She and her friends decorated, and rented plastic tables, chairs and a big cooler full of Skol big bottles. I decided to cook all day (baked ziti, eggplant parm, sausage and peppers, pasta with ham and chicken and veggies, lots of bread.) Inexpensive, but filling food that everyone got a real kick out of. Beats the same old salgadenos (sp?!) they are so used to eating at parties. Got a big coconut and strawberry cake from the local bakery. The whole party only cost about R$400. Had about 60 friends and relatives of hers attend. Played tons of my rock and roll CDs, mixed with Brazilian music. We went to 4 am.
It is proving to be the best R$400 I spent. I met tons of local ladies, made a bunch of new potential friends, got invites to drinks and dinner, even got a marriage proposal (in jest.) Actually going out Friday with some folks I met. I found some ladies interested in the fact that I was bringing a different experience to them. A different type of party, different food, different music, I look and dress different, different sense of humor.
My Porto is still very limited. And very few people here speak English (a total of 6 at the party could speak any English). But we managed.
To me. Trying to date a non-pro Brazilian women is very similar to most anywhere in the world. Like you guys are saying: you need the confidence (women love a confident man), cleverness and a good sense of humor (they like a funny, happy, upbeat man. Especially here), a command of the native language (absolutely essential as otherwise you will be in perpetual small talk state), common sense (there are definately women that will play you. Like anywhere), and. Let's face it. Looks (you don't need to be the best looking guy in the world but stay in shape and keep your grooming up.)
I am interested in seeing what comes of these introductions. But, I have no illusions. I need to really learn Porto.
