A few words about Judy's and Manhattans
Perhaps there's a report way back when that has something substantial to say about Judy's (on Tongren Lu) but from I could tell it seems lacking. Most of what I read were not so positive.
I have to through in my 2 cents worth and say I really like Judy's. I must temper that statement with the fact that I've practically never gone there alone. The first time I went was to meet my new "friend". I believe I described that experience in an earlier report. Ever since that first time I always arrive or meet up with a group of great Filipino girls I met here in Shanghai. Perhaps the company bends my view a bit but I really think Judy's is a cool place to hang. Granted the number of available girls does pale in comparison to Manhattan's but it is definitely less of a circus/zoo (not that I don't like the Manhattan zoo/circus/girl-fest).
I've read too many reports focusing on the "oh there's too many ladyboys here" thing. Ya, there seem to be a few regular ones that hang there, no pun intended, but they're only as intrusive as your mind lets you believe they are. With all I had read I was expecting a parade of crazy aggressive, ala Singapore, Thailand, ladyboys pulling my arm this way and that. Ok, I'm exaggerating the posts but I had no idea what to expect given the tone here. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't really notice it much at all. There are enough girls to distract my attention at Judy's. Regardless, LBs don't freak me out anyway, so I could care less.
Now Manhattans. I'm in love. I've only been there twice but I'm definitely going back.
There definitely is a huge Vietnamese population at Manhattans. I must say that the quality and attitude of these girls is far better than most of the Vietnamese girls I met in Singapore's OT. I don't know why but I felt that their attitude here was far more friendly and down-to-earth than I've experienced. And many of these girls a freakin' hot.
Last night as an example: I was meeting up with my "girl" at Judy's later in the evening, more like 2AM, so I decided to venture back to Manhattan's while I waited. It was around 11PM and the place was pretty packed. As usual, definitely more girls than guys. I actually told my "girl" that I was off to Manhattans, and promised I would be a "good boy". Actually I thought it was a cool challenge to see how long I could last as a "good boy" in Manhattans.
I sat myself down at the bar and started into a Corona. A very hot Vietnamese girl named Jenny was standing nearby all smiles and drinking her drink. We caught each others smiles a few times but I didn't try to pay much attention. I was actually pretty much surrounded by probing batting eyelashes. A couple of other girls to my left were taking turns looking me over. Behind me was a wall of, well you get the picture. Anyway, Jenny sits herself down and raises her drink to me for a toast. She complains in a pleasant smiling way how hot it is then starts asking about me. It turns out this was her last night in Shanghai. Her visa was up and she had to go back home for a month. Oh My God. As she was telling me all this I just could not get over how beautiful she was. Regardless, I gave the truth about my relationship status (not my "girl" but my real girl back home) and further admitted that I couldn't take anyone home tonight. She was really great about it. Smiled and said she was still glad to meet me and didn't really care if she didn't work at all on her last night here. Cool. Of course she still teased me about meeting up when she returned to Shanghai. She gave me her phone number later on and asked me to just mention I came from and she'd remember who I was (she also said don't think that she'd remember me by my name because she meets so many guys LOL). Cool. So we talk some more and she's all flirty and affectionate. It was great because there was no pressure to close any kind of deal. She starts talking about her 'hot girlfriend'. She's been texting her on her iPhone all the while we've been chatting. She says she's coming. And, yes, she came. And, yes, she was pretty hot but not as hot as Jenny. Her name is Nancy and has a real playful personality. I think it also helped that I was introduced through Jenny.
Then the request for drinks started. Now I really didn't feel any pressure. These girls were cool, spending time with me, and buying a few drinks was nothing much. I ended up buying 5 shots for the first round. Yes, another girlfriend arrived. And then even another, but she only wanted a coke. LOL. I don't quite remember how many rounds of shots were consumed but I do remember that the girls actually started buying ME shots. Two rounds. First Nancy bought for the three of us and then Jenny. Oh My God. By this time I had two hot girls hanging off of me. Teasing. Fondling. Several times they teased me with a threesome. Damn! All the while I remained a "good boy" and just enjoyed the attention. Damn. Maybe I was stupid LOL. It's all good. My evening ended quite well with my "girl" from Judy's.
Nancy really wanted me to take her home but she was cool about me not being able to tonight. I told her I might come back and then SHE gave me HER number. So now I had phone numbers for two hot Vietnamese girls. Later that evening, actually early the next morning, Nancy sent me a long text about how she was home drunk and was really happy to meet me. It will be interesting to see what happens when I return to Manhattan.
But wait, there's more.
Last night at Manhattan's was all about multi-tasking. Perhaps the sight of me with my two hot friends fawning over me attracted some attention. I don't really see how considering how crazy it is at Manhattans but it did. One girl far off at the right end of the bar was enjoying watching me enjoy myself. She seemed pretty hot and kept giving me a smile and a few thumbs up every now and then. She kept switching from wearing glasses to not. Interesting. Later when I finally left for Judy's I had to say goodbye to this observer girl. For the life of me I don't remember her name, I don't even remember if I asked but I did say goodbye and hoped to see her next time. I think.
Yet another girl wandered up while I was with my two new friends. The funny thing is that this new girl had met me before when I first came to Manhattans. She's from Anui, speaks pretty decent english, decent looking but not super hot. She was wearing a small beret like hat (I don't really remember but somehow this is the image that's in my head). The first time I met her she was quite aggressive, putting my hand on her stomach and making sure I saw her cleavage. The first time I met her she went straight to the question after talking for a few minutes. I told her then that I couldn't take her home. She countered with, "you can come to my place, it's near by". Interesting. Now, last night, she comes up to me all affectionate but claims she doesn't remember me from the other night. She doesn't remember that I ultimately turned her down. She doesn't remember that she then asked me for 100RMB for her time which I refused politely. OK. So, last night she remembers none of this. I tell her I'm with my "friends" and that I'm meeting another later at Judy's. So, she gives me her phone number. LOL. So, now I have two hot Vietnamese girls' numbers and a pretty decent Chinese girls' with a bad short-term memory. LOL. What's even funnier is that this Chinese girl sends me a text message from the other side of the bar: "wo ai ni". I tease her back with "wo ye ai ni". That sent her running to me. So funny.
The next funny encounter was with the girl I had briefly met at Malone's earlier in the evening. Yes I went there too last night. A triple bill of bars for me, I know. I had dinner there and a last beer downstairs. This girl's name is Sharlene and she's part Mongolian apparently. I little on the chubby side but a very pretty face. Interesting personality. At Malone's she had me trying to guess her nationality. I swear she started off by saying she wasn't Chinese, but then in the end she says she is. Strange. At Malone's I was honest with her and said I was meeting friends. Unfortunately I think she thought I was lying because she ends up walking past me and my new Vietnamese "girlfriends" at Manhattans. She didn't seem too pleased. But I'm sure she understood.
Any way, I really did have to go, so I did the tough job of saying goodbye to my new friends. Pretty much wasted from drinking God knows what kind of glowing blue shots. I wandered down to Judy's and met up with my other new friends. My "girl" still hadn't arrived, so I enjoyed the music and the more relaxed view for a little while. The evening ended / morning began with another trip to a local 168 for some morning fun and a few hours of sleep. I won't go into too much detail about the fun out of respect for my "girl". She's awesome. And I mean as a person, not just the sex. Anyone familiar with the Filipino girls at Judy's can ask me in PM and I'll let you know who she is, and you'll probably know what I'm talking about. She's going back home soon but might come back to Shanghai. Don't know when.
So. Tonight? Will it be round 3 at Manhattan's? Maybe. I still haven't told you about round 1. That's a secret. Round 1 actually got me in a bit of trouble. One small piece of advice. Remember. These girls know each other. If you develop anything beyond a one-nighter rendez-vous with a girl, and you wander, remember that will get back to the first girl and then back to you. This doesn't have to be a problem. Just treat these girls with respect and like the real people that they are and you'll be fine.
