For anything to do with computers (hard drives, memory, motherboards etc.) its Pantip but you really need to know what you want. There are some good bargains to be found but a lot of the hardware is not as modern as some Europe or American based sellers. Software of all kinds is available on the same level as the food court mostly, but buyer beware (this is Bangkok after all) and the touts selling porn are really annoying. For anything to do with phones, MBK beats Pantip easily.

MBK is rather helter skelter when you are looking for something, and although there are electronics (probably concentrated towards cell phones, although there are also camera shops, some computer offerings, and so forth) Pantip has a lot more. I have gone there to get my laptop memory upgraded (took about 5 minutes to purchase and have the seller install); for computer cables, camera batteries, and so forth. Although I don't have the information to price compare, I would be very surprised if prices at MBK beat those at Pantip. I also sometimes find the "walking around" experience at MBK a bit frenetic with all the people and the narrow aisles and so forth. Pantip less so.

In any event, Pantip is worth a trip just to look around if nothing else.

You will find just about everything you would find at Panthip, and you don't have to hassle with the crowds. It is right at the Rama IX MRT stop as well.
