Whats been happening in angeles city over the last week and two barhops on walking street.

Skyfalls gogo bar, had been a while since I had been here, its a Korean owned and run bar, was welcomed by the manager and seated in good seats, quite a few girls in, dressed in longish light blue dresses cut away at the sides and some in short dresses, probably about 30 girls, many of them smiling and looking happy, customers were asians, our drinks 180 peso, bought a couple of lady drinks to girls I already knew well, lady drinks 350 peso, never asked but sure the barfine here is 5,000 peso short time, although a few ok looking girls not sure they were any where near 5,000 peso worth,2 drinks moved on but will be back, friendly bar and a few ok girls.

Atlantis bar, 30-40 odd girls, many of the girls are busy with their dance routines and not available for drinks during this time, two best girls here are both cherry girls, both 19 years old, very popular for drinks only with the asians, this night was quiet for punters so both girls free and came and sat with us, lady drinks 350 peso, our drinks,150 peso, one of these girls I know well and keeps asking when I'm going to pay the 150,000 peso she thinks her virginity is worth, sweet girl and would probably make a good wife for someone.

XS bar, seemed that girl numbers were well down, many regular faces missing, still even with the fewer girl numbers its the best angeles has to offer, very popular with the young asians, good energy bar and well run.

Monsoon bar, hit and miss bar is what we call this bar, one visit many girls, next visit very few girls, no stunners but occasionally a pretty, slim girl can be found, worth a visit even for just 1 drink.

Geckos bar, very few girls on stage probably about 7 or 8, two other older expat customers were already seated but seated alone, girls looked quite bored, mixture of oldies and fatties,1 quick drink and left.

Drinking buddy wanted to try la bamba bar, lollipop bar and then brown sugar bar, popped our heads in but never stayed for a drink, very few girls and no lookers.

Camelot bar, had more girls in than the last few bars, probably 20 odd girls, even had 3 or 4 customers,1 customer sitting with the only 2 girls that were ok looking and fairly slim, other girls mixture of oldies and fatties, 1 drink and left.

In summing up, punter numbers are down, especially westerners, girl numbers are down, prices creeping up, punter drinks, girl drinks, barfines seem to be on the move every few weeks, many girls looking bored and playing with their phones in the smaller bars, bigger bars, especially, xs bar atlantis, Q bar, avalon bar owner don't allow girls to slack, they are either on stage dancing or drinking with customers, no time to get bored or play with phones is the motto.

Many western bar owners and mummys are reporting that many nights there are no takers for barfines especially Monday through Thursday nights, some western bars starting to shut Mondays and some Tuesdays too due to low takings, weekends tends to pick up a bit but mainly with asians.

Heard two reports of westerners getting pick pocketed on the jeepnies over the last week, one lost his money and the other his new phone, guys, don't take out big amounts of money, buy a slim money belt and tuck it in your pants, keep your expensive phones in the safe and use an old phone on the streets is my advice.

Very hard to recommend angeles as a go to place to get laid by young attractive girls because although some girls are fairly attractive they tend to be drinks only girls or virgins, fine to visit if one is happy with bare back sex with 30-40 year old plain ladies.

No idea why this still exists, and there is no warning of this until they start the boarding process: "Don't forget all passengers must wear a facemask to board and for the duration of our flight". On a recent long-haul PAL flight, this was not announced until after people were boarding. We had all lined up when the announcement was made. Several of us did not bring a mask to the airport. PAL personnel provided masks to us.

On a more recent CP domestic flight, the same announcement came (after boarding had begun). I was in the pre-boarding line as I had spent extra for that for me and my girl. An elderly gent more forward in the line said he didn't have a mask. CP employee: "You try a gift shop". He literally gave up his place in line to go shopping for a 10-peso facemask. What if the gift shop doesn't have any stock? My girl and I also didn't have masks, so I handed her p100 and told her to hustle over to a nearby gift shop and buy two. Everything worked out. My point is: There was nothing on any website that said: "We are still in Covid-restricted status. All passengers must wear a mask onboard", or such.

Another Covid holdover: You might (still) be required to show your vaccine card at certain places. I was recently denied entry to a government building here because I didn't have a vax card on my person. Mine was never issued as a physical card. At the time in Manila, you had to pre-register an appointment date on an app. Once you received your QR code you uploaded your picture. They sent you a vax card image with your pic and QR code that was otherwise empty. You showed up at your determined location and showed this (on your phone) and got vaxed. Immediately your vax card image on your phone refreshed and it showed your vax date and location. All good, except its electronic. I screen-captured it way back when, and showed it when it was requested (had to show it for more than a year just to enter any Starbucks or Coffee Bean here). However that was not good enough recently to enter a government building. "You go make a photocopy of that and return sir". You MUST be kidding, ma'am.

I think we posted data on the board back then, data that showed vaccines effectiveness wears off quickly, in a matter of 5-8 months (faster the older you are, for elderly people they are effective for just a few months). Regarding Covid discussions, I went into SM Mall looking for either a dental appointment or a medical check up, I forget which. The receptionist, top floor in a corner, the guy was in full Hazmaz suit bio war gear, like when does WW3 begin. I went elsewhere where wearing disposable face masks was sketchy.
