They didn't always work in Pattaya.. They are going right back to what they did before they had jobs here. One of my massage chicks spent the night the night before last and her sister made the 6 hour drive to pick her up yesterday. She said she was going to go back to milking the cows for a few months. Said they have 10 of them. These chicks are from farms. They will be able to survive much longer than our city asses that have to depend on grocery stores for our food.

Whether its a pandemic, a financial crisis, a political crisis / war zone that turns people's lives upside down its always the less fortunate that suffer the most. It's human nature to think of ourselves and families first but I feel it need not stop there. I feel those of us who live in Thailand and have made it our home have a responsibility to help where we can. If I had a relative back home that was in need of money I would of course help them first but the safety net in the west now more now ever will in the majority of situations be sufficient to see them through this. Not so here. Depending on one's individual circumstances I would suggest we try to help girls we have gotten to know over the years and who are in serious need. A few hundred baht here and there goes a long way in a village in Essan. Just my two cents.

People are going on baht buses and sit in restaurants that are open, like you could see in my photo. It seems like Thailand is a couple of steps behind the countries where the virus is more spread, and last time I checked there is only one death related to Corona in Thailand and relatively few cases. However, I am sure the situation will change here when more people die and numbers of cases goes up. People will panic more and the government will make more restrictions affecting everyday life here.

So with 360 females in my contact list, since this pandemic started I have not received 1 request of a person saying they are in dire need of money. In fact, there have been a couple of chicks that have said the 1200 that I pay for LT is only enough for ST so they did not accept.

They will realize right quickly that it is better to EAT than to maintain "social distance" and will do whatever it takes to do what they have always done. Look for old foreigners to pay them to UK. Even if it means lowering their standards.

I live in hotels, no rental. I begin to see restaurants and malls shuttering down or closing early, buffet breakfasts in hotels getting thinner. Does this only reflect a lack of business or is it a prelude to a generalised shortage?

I'm in two minds as to whether to wait this out in Pat or to head for the beaches by bus (Ko Chang, Ko Kood). The risk of getting infected should be less on a remote island but will the food supply chain be maintained that far?

Health care is available in Pattaya but I'm not counting on that to save my ass if I get seriously ill. If people start dropping like flies the locals will be prioritised. It is more food and shelter I'm worried about.

Would heading for the beaches be foolish at this juncture?

Would heading for the beaches be foolish at this juncture?[/QUOTE]It is a judgement call as to where you want to ride out the Corona, but I think under the present circumstances Ko Chang or Ko Kood is a pretty good place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature until the pandemic passes. Food shortages: what food shortages? The ocean ain't going to run out of fish and there is plenty of rice and fruit available, so I wouldn't be concerned about that. I would not think shelter would be a problem either although many hotels have probably closed down, so I would recommend scouting out something suitable before you head that way.

The only issue I can see with a Ko Chang or Ko Kood getaway is the limited availability of girls. Even with all the Pattaya bars and clubs closed, finding girls in Pat is not a problem, but Koh Chang is another story and forgetabout girls on Ko Kood. Of course BYO is an interesting solution especially if you have a pretty good pre-existing relationship with a particular girl or girls. Otherwise, figure you will be celibate while on Ko Chang or Ko Kood unless you get lucky.

How good is their hygiene their regular sanitizing of rooms and common areas the quality of their facilities. As far as I know hotels are exempt from the same closures outside I. E. Restaurants and lounges are open so that's a plus. As to staying safe, ignore its just a flu bullshit, this is down to frequent hand washing avoid touching face and maintaining social distancing. Using what news is available Pattaya doesn't as yet have any clusters so it's most likely no worse than any other resort. This of course could change and it's true larger populations have obvious disadvantages.

Generally with the exception of sanitizing products, haven't seem a bottle of Dettol in over 2 weeks there is no shortage of food or drinks and none are expected so no worries there. You didn't mention P4P so I guess that is not top of your list of priorities, understandable you are more concerned with your health. If it were me I would stay in Pattaya as assess to testing and health care is superior.

That means the few places they already have to stay and to eat are going to be closed. Why would they be open when there is no business? And the ones that are open are going to run out of supplies. Great time last night. Met a chick on Thai Friendly. 21 years old. We traded Lines and I went over and saw her background picture was her and a guy passed out nekkit in a bathroom. She told them they might as well do it now then because she did not have that kind of money. Her mother ended up getting the money together to get her out (yet some of you believe chicks are not having enough money to eat).
