My first time staying in the area. These are my impressions.

The place is quiet for a red light district. Less traffic than nimman and inside the moat. Demographic skews older.

Loi kroh had some prettier younger talent at the MPs during the weekend. Funny thing is most of them seem to have disappeared on Monday. Either they are already working, or they only work weekends? Not sure. I tried going into one of the Loi kroh MPs. The girl only accepted work with he and wanted to negotiate this beforehand. To me this defeats the eroticism of doing an MP. Also, if you only want a normal massage, another presumably less fetching woman substitutes in. In other words, the prettier girl exclusively does he work. Just a normal massage is presumably not worth her time.

I tried looking at some of the places mentioned. I looked at nanaplus but I could not see anyone appealing in the lineup. Kampangdin seemed a better bet for an old school kind of MP experience, but the talent was significantly older than Loi kroh. The north JA massage had lots of women and even one ladyboy but none that were appealing to me. I tried sweet massage which had three girls. All were ok in looks. I didn't get the girl mentioned in the previous report, mine gave a decent massage but was otherwise restrained and professional, with the bonus of an he offer at the very end. I didn't try the bars as I am abstaining from alcohol.

Overall the area seems like a nice place to live. The MPs are fine but nothing to write home about IMO.

I interpret the difference between young, pretty girls and old hags to be also related to their massage skills. For example, at a Loi Kroh massage shop a pretty girl took me inside and asked if I wanted "special massage" and I said that I only want a foot massage, the pretty girl then screamed to the back room "PROFESSIONAL!" A few seconds later, an old hag came out and give me a really great foot massage. I've had some crappy massages from pretty Thai girls in massage shops.

There is no need to order alcohol in bars. I often order water, Coke, or juice. Sometimes the girls ask why I don't drink alcohol, but it doesn't change my service.

I've probably spent about 14 days in Chiang Mai and haven't found a true hot spot yet. Lots of bars and massage shops scattered about, especially on Loi Kroh, Kampangdin, and Sridonchai. I suspect that all of the massage shops on those roads offer HJ, but many do not offer FS. The portion of Kampangdin between Loi Kroi and Tha Phae seems to go unnoticed, but I've had some of my best success there. My best single session was at Pink X.

I've yet to find a decent agogo place, but I'm generally busy with non-punting activities during normal agogo hours. I've seen a total of one street walking hooker in Chiang Mai. She was a cutie and located just inside the southern edge of the moat. Perhaps others can give better suggestions, I have never really looked for streetwalkers.

Fine. It's one thing if people are pretending that bad weather affects Chiang Mai, which is impossible because bad things don't happen in paradise and all of Thailand is paradise. Next thing you'll tell me that some far away earthquake in distant Myanmar would have affected Thailand somehow. I don't buy it.
