I actually felt safe, but it was definitely a ghost town at night and a real issue for getting escorts and even finding an Uber.

I think it closes pretty early like at 9 PM. It's definitely small. They were closer to 20 girls when I was there and two were strikingly beautiful, a few were hideous and most were unmemorable.

Guajira is a nice club, very small. I always go with Katherine, a colombian girl that wears flowers dress. She is a total nympho in the bedroom.

Can you bring a photo copy of the ID page with your photo?[/QUOTE]Quitenos are the epitome of anal and attentive to detail full stop they love regulations and are the reason why this country is mired in paperwork and red tape the reasons are too long for me to describe for this post, so either follow the rules go to the ghetto of Quito where there are chongos that are not regulated and risked getting robbed or come to the coast where there is even more violence, this is how they roll in the mountains, you could get a copy of the passport in plastic it would cost $59 more to get seeing as you are going to a chongo to get pussy that means you are probably broke I wish there were easy solutions but there aren't.

Planning my first trip to Quito for November and looking for a guide to show me the city.

I want to check out the clubs (Mosq, club 155 etc) as well as casitas and recommended escorts.

I speak Spanish 6/10 and can understand it.

My experience is namely Tijuana (HK, Chicago etc.).

If anyone can provide a recommendation for a guide. I would greatly appreciate it and will provide a detailed report when I am done.

I plan to dictate my daily adventures and then make one detailed post.

There were 30+ ladies and most were just dripping sex appeal. I saw so many ladies I wanted to visit with but I had reservations so my time got cut short. If something happens to it, you are not leaving that country legally or entering another without going to the US Embassy to get it replaced. That's on top of your identity being stolen and probably an attempt to use it for nefarious purposes. If you are robbed and they got your passport, then chances are they got your money and phone too. Which could make getting to the embassy dependent on the generosity of strangers. Most US embassies are not open 24 hours, and even if you can reach the officer on duty for emergencies, they will not replace your passport at 2 in the morning.

I've never had trouble carrying around my Global Entry card, state issued driver's license, or a passport card. The passport card is only supposed to be valid for land and sea crossings between the US and Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, but most people asking for ID do not care as long as the info matches. I've been asked for my ID for a large credit card purchase, and they let me proceed without my passport. Same thing for exchanging currency and buying bus tickets. To me it's not worth the risk. If they demand my original passport, I'll just go to another merchant.

If they demand my original passport, I'll just go to another merchant.[/QUOTE]This statement is correct except that technically you "have to" carry your passport for positive ID it's in the government regulations, not the US issues a plastic that is the equivalent of a passport it's less than $100, and 99% they will let it slide with a driver's license however let us remember that the security guards are human and if they had any amount of intelligence they would not be working in a brothel for minimum wage they are there as cannon fodder more or less, they are the ones that face the heat when police come in looking for expired permits, or up to date health cards for the girls and they are supposed to do their jobs but sometimes they do not and a club gets shut down and you have an angry owner or manager yelling at them at such times they get "strict" and on more than one ocassion in my tours sometimes people have gotten denied entry it does not happen every day but it has happend to it's what it's.

Guys, a report just in from my friend in Quito. Quito, and to a lesser extent Guayaquil, are experiencing major blackouts in October. The drought has halted the hydro electricity production from the dams, and power rationing is leaving some people more than 6 hours a day without power. I don't know one way or another, but some major hotels might have generators. Other than that, expect there to be issues with electricity for the time being.

First off have been here over a month and have not lost power.

I also would prefer not to run around with my passport but I'm not sure it is doable.

All scanned the passport except 155, the only other option is some of the cheaper casa's will let you in without it.

I only carry my passport when I'm going to nut and then get my ass back to the apartment and get it put away.
