Do you guys agree with this ex-pat in Manila. He says all the regular girls that he has dated, at some point, expect money from you to help out the family and the younger girlfriend. He says even if you avoid hookers, like he says he does, the topic of money will eventually come up. Do you feel in PI, you are a walking ATM, no matter what dating route you take.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PdXj4_RdyG8
No. All is a strong word. Defintiely not all. And I do not know what they expect, but the number of chicks that will eventually ask for money for something is much higher than say Brazil where I have never had a chick that is not a hooker ask for money in over 20 years. I have said before that the Philippines is the Dominican Republic of the Pacific. Many traits are shared between both populations and a high percentage of regular chicks eventually asking for money is one of them.
But don't take it personally. I know a chick from the Dominican Republic that moved to the States and soon her family was begging for money from her as if she was not struggling herself. She eventually had to block them. I told her now you see how we feel huh? She said yep. They act like because we live somewhere else that somebody is handing out a bunch of free money to us. I like to thell them well Saturday is my day off, but would you like for me to go in and work 10 hours so that I will have money to send you? It sounds pretty ridiculous to them when you put it like that; that we do not just have a bunch of extra money laying around to send people.
