As an example, for less than one week, a residence might charge at $50 USD / night. For 28+ days (monthly rate) they might charge $40 / night.

Also you didn't specify what you mean by cheap / affordable. Is that $15 USD / night? $50/ night? $100/ night? Attached pics, from booking dot com, nightly rates:

1) Both places mid-$30's USD, close to the action.

2) Both places about $15, a KM away, requiring pesky transportation in trykes or jeeps (and its the rainy season).

I broke down, gave a tip on Alua (a vidoe for 100 points or roughly $20 USD) and I got a video of the provider. Both of these statements are true.

ExpatPat and Montana and NonSense buttress their conclusion by offering their own ignorance as some sort of proof. Sailor Jack accepts their claim of ignorance, but it is only proof of their ignorance and nothing more.

More puzzling to Sailor Jack is what the motivation is for saying it did not happen? Ignorance? Arrogance? Sure, there are certainly degrees of that. But, after some thought, Sailor Jack thinks it is mostly fear of missing out. It is just so much easier for them to say it did not happen than to admit that they missed out (or maybe that somehow something could happen in AC that they do not know about). ExpatPat and Montana and NonSense simply do not WANT it to be true.

In Sailing, you can name the time OR you can name the place.

You cannot name the time AND the place.

That is also good security hygiene. Living here full-time requires a high level of discretion for security purposes. Did you ever stop to think about who reads this forum? WestCoast1 does not post trip reports until he safely out of town. That is smart. Sailor Jack does not have that option. Note that Sailor Jack's post came 5 months after the actual event (the event was in March 2023, not March 2024) and only got posted at all because the ongoing event is now tamed down. Sailor Jack never mentions the name of a bar (with a recent Insomnia fuck up well noted) or other venue. That is good security practice. It is also appropriate common sense turf protection. Thus, you will never see a bar review from Sailor Jack. The rules are different if you live in Angeles Fucking City full time.

In AFC you can surely find (and readily post here) melancholy, disappointment, angst, poor performance, poor quality, and blatant racism. But it is more likely that you brought that crap with you. There are self-loathing senior posters here who provide disinformation about a 20 to 1 ratio and only fatties and fuglies in Lollipop Bar and other bola2. Consider the posters' motivation for spreading this propaganda.

As for pics, I have many gigs of pics and videos from 2004 onwards and find it pointless to take more every trip. Their rooms are 4700 pesos and upwards. I have trip planned for November. I have booked at both Central Park and Walkaround hotel. They both are giving 20% cash discount. Walkaroun is much cheaper and on Walking Street.

If you want to stay for two months, I would recommend Kandy Apartments.

Hello fellow mongers. I've been planning this 1st time Angeles monger trip for 6 months, and now I'm here. Flew in from Dallas via San Fran. Last time I was here was the early 90's when my US Navy ship pulled into Manila Bay. We headed straight to Angeles back then! LOL.

I would love a speed round of Tips, Tricks and Advice to make the most of my time here. I'm staying at ABC. Yeah, I've read the good and not so good about ABC, but I kinda like it. The room is insane. Anyway.

What I want to do is go to an anything goes bar, and I saw the post about Lollipop and QBar. Done. Those are on my list. Any others? Where else should I go? A lively Club, like a dance club where the girls are DTF (kidding) would be cool. I guess those would mostly be freelancers. I'm not looking to spend a stupid amount on girl drinks.
