Hello to all,
I have stayed or lets say lm staying until tomorow in walkabout hotel and can say its ok for the price.Downside is the noise,because my room is at the 1st floor and the karaoke f...ers sing all night.So if you deaf or a beerlover like me its ok to stay there.Went to new bar eager beaver or something like that and the only thing which impressed me was they were playing all the queen songs.The girls werent impressive at all.Went to las vegas and maybe l was to late because nada maganda ladies as well.
Brown sugar,totally crap,dogs and some really ugly low life pinoy customer.Atlantis was much better with a nice hawain performance.Blue nile had some better looking girls,so maybe tonight l will hunt again.For the weather freaks,its cool,light showers,not much happening right now,sitting at kokomoz and watching the crowd passing by.

You see, people have to detach themselves from their usual gang and go outside to smoke. Mingling becomes easier - both inside and out. Great opportunity for the opportunist.

Of course this probably doesn't apply to AC. If my memory is correct, Davao City bans tobacco indoors.

I don’t think it will be bar owner making the final decision! As in Thailand and the rest of world, I think the decision will be made for them, by governments, who are under pressure from WHO (World Heath Organization) to reduce smoking deaths.

I know it will never happen until it is enforced upon bar owners, but what would be best for all, is for bars to have smoking & non-smoking sides. This may delay the inevitable. This is never acceptable to bar owners until the ban is in, then they want 50/50! . . TOO LATE!

In 2003 Ireland was resolute that smoking would never be banned in their pubs! "It is the way of life and our culture" The follow year their government banned it everywhere in doors!

Even after this happened in Ireland, England was insistent that smoking would never be banned in the British pub as 90% of their customers smoke! Famous last sayings were "A fag and a point go hand in hand" "If you don’t like the smoke don’t come out" "They don’t have to work behind the bar, they can get another job" There was no attempt to introduce non-smoking areas and in late 2005, the British government announced a full ban in all enclosed areas.

Most of Europe have now followed suit, even though the majority of their customers are smokers!

Thailand famous saying was "This is Asia, if you don’t like the smoke go back to Europe" Thailand government banned smoking this year! Not fully enforced I admit but it does give choice now!

In the Philippines smoking in public has been banned country wide since 2003, but no one knows about it and it is never enforced. The only place enforcing it is Davao, where I went last year.

All it takes is some government official to say we are going to enforce to law now, and give a custodial sentence. If you were to run a bar would you want to run that risk? I wonder if the Manila or Bangkok Hilton has a good location, On-suite, Air con, wi-fi, safe, twin or double beds?

Depends on where you are in PI.

In Angeles the bar fine covers everything - no extra need be given afterward. However if you are feeling nice 200-500 is not unheard of and alot of folks have been doing it lately.

For Manila, it is expected by most girls that you will give 500-1500 dependant on the girl, where you got her from , etc - it is best to talk about these things up front to avoid the silliness it could start the next morning.

For elsewhere in the country you will need to ask others as everywhere else I go I just pick up normal chicks.

No my friend, you are not being thick. In Thailand your barfine only releases the girl from the bar, you then have to pay her fee.
In Angeles City your barfine covers the girls fee, you should however reward the lady for good service.

I have searched the AC forum, but details have been lacking. Can anyone please help refresh my memory on drink prices, both on Perimeter and Fields?

Im in AC right now and lm sure you were asking about drinkprices in bars.l remember drinks like sm beer is about 45p at wee george at perimeter.LD are 100p over there.At fields prices are higher,like 85 to 95p for sm beer.LD are from 175p to 195p,exception is Atlantis and other bars of the Dollhouse group.Just asked a vodoodoorgirl and she qouted me 135p for LD,maybe they have happy hour.Its 2.30pm now.Shanos irish pub have all you can drink draft beer from 6pm to 8pm for 200p.Orange Lion hotel got 40 different kinds of imported beer and have happy hour too.Once you there you will see good offers.Ask for the Blue Book which is given free to anybody in places frequent by tourist such as hotels,pubs and restaurants.
