That is some straight man in the arena thinking. They be talking that "glory days" stuff over in the Santo Domingo forum too. Never been a better time to be in Santo Domingo este. And my best nut has always been my last nut.
Where is my damn mig vapor? I think some chica may have ripped me off!

Boots on fire
Live here on the Sue set. If they came and did a Chica sweep last Thursday and Friday; there are a lot of chicas that did not get the memo. The place is business as usual. Actually I see abundance of Chicas active and hungry. I went to classico to get a VIP table and they were Completely booked.
-
And so it began
They just hit the block. The police tried to creep up on the chicas however they were two steps ahead of them. The block has slowed down.
-
Police just did another sweep. They came up short.
-
Another sweep and they caught 2.
-
Pica Flor.
OK- so. Been to Sosua at least a dozen times. Never went to Picaflor. Do I really hafta sign up for a 4 hour outcall. I'm more of a 20 minutes in a backroom guy. I would have a GF if I wanted one.
-
Are they really serious?
Another sweep and they caught 2.
Predictable.
Next, a MC helmet sweep, then a couple road block check points on the highway to PP, then business as usual. Repeat, when actual crime is slow!
Now here's the "secret".
Forget what people say, watch what they do! All this talk about closing down the prostitution business in Sosua in just bull.
There are many ways they could do that!
Make prostitution illegal, or enact anti- soliciting local laws.
Have the cops hassle the mongers, marks and johns, like they do with women. No ID with you? Straight to jail!
Bingo!
The show is over! :)
Once the internet arrived in full fashion everything became easy and business like. Western union was slowing down in favor of fast money immediately. Guys didn't want a weekend girlfriend and girls didn't want a weekend boyfriend. Without the internet Brazil over showdowed the Dominican Republic. I didn't even know where the DR was until 2007. I thought it was the island of Dominica. Now that the secret was out guys had more options opening up. The new breed didn't care about learning Spanish, learning Latin dance or to meet the family. The new breed was dealing with competitive girls in the states who wanted equality not the old fashioned girls that was the previous generation. The girls adjusted also, learning that they could fuck for one hour instead of a whole weekend. Its like a meeting of cold hearts. The internet created a business culture where the girls want fast money and guys want a great deal. We are now seeing the "old school" guys trying to show that there is still fun to have in the Dominican Republic if you branch out and embrace the culture and the new school guys saying fuck that I just want to fuck a girl for an hour at a great deal.
I don't know about you but I couldn't live in DR without instant internet access to the outside world, banks, insurance companies, officina, familia.
Instant access to schedules, transportation, chicas and no wasted time waiting around, or trying to hook up with friends and chicas.
Wifi almost everywhere, bluetooth and Youtube for any kind of music you like! More hot water and A/C.
For me personally things are better than ever in Sosua. I thought I was "old school". After my last long term relationship with a local, I leaned a lot, like how to set the ground rules from the beginning, stay in overall control of the relationship and budgets. It requires saying no, firmly and meaning it!, and being willing to walk if you have major differences of opinion!
Training. It's not easy but when it works, it is great!
She only expects to come down on weekends, leaving me free during the week to hang with amigos and local ladies, and listen to beautiful chicas I know, but haven't been with, promise me all kinds of earthly delights if only I would take them back to my place.
Worth a beer, at my age, LOL!
Lost 35 pounds, thanks to mi chica's home cooking, and encouragement. My fridge is always full of home made food so literally I only get to a resaurant about twice a week, But lots of Predidente Lite which agrees with me and seemingly I can drink with no loss of control, just a nice little buzz!
Spent a long weekend with great local family campo up in the hills, and had the best time of my life!
"Livin' the dream", as they say!

Your old school ways taught you to figure out the big picture. Your post sounds like me. I sip presidents light because I can drink socially a light beer and only get a slight buzz. I also set limitations with my Dominican honeys but they are so determined to work their agenda that it usually takes three or four rounds before they finally start to get it.
Outside of the tourist areas, hot water, electric constantly, and internet access are not the norm, so it takes time to make the adjustment. That's what killed me when living in SD, having down time without the basic amenities that we have in the States was very boring.
As far as a relationship, she will bring the family onboard. I've been fighting this for over a year with my main girl but she just keep pushing it. Over time they eventually wear you down and you start making adjustments but that only opens the door for the rest of the family. I've learned to be unpredictable, maybe even cold at times, to maintain some independence. It usually leads to crying and begging on her part for a bigger piece of you. I never trust completely but I do give of myself to the culture as I see fit.

Last night
I kind a got tired of watching Police clean the streets so I want to take a nap. Woke about 2 and hit the block. The good thing is at this time the police are leaving the girls alone. It was business as usual in the area. I thought Classico would be crowded but it wasn't. The women definitely outnumbered the men. Some few very good choices as far as looks. The chica know when they are 4000 peso material. I was wondering why it was so crowded and my boy remind me it was just Thursday night. Tomorrow the flow starts.
There are a lot of different choices however; I am cursed with patients. I need to see killer in their eyes. No killers I took an L. At least I have Mary Jane. She is my main thang!

You are welcomed to let her leave anytime before that 4 hours is up. Although I have never had $100 worth of pussy myself, I think it is a great deal when you compare it to Crystal in Puerto Plata and the casas like Oasis in Santo Domingo and La Pasion in Santiago where you get to go in the back room for an hour at the same price.
I'm pretty sure if you wanted to buy you a girlfriend you should be able to purchase one. However the GFE is a gift. It takes skills, luck and / or money.
You should have put money first! LOL!
Money is always the big driver in DR especially Sosua! Without it you'd both be hungry, LOL!
Aside from the money, girls enjoy being around guys who are happy and enjoy being with friends. With a big age difference a sense of humor is essential, and a self depreciating attitude. When my chica introduced me to her momma, husband and aunts who were younger than me I said, with a laugh, that she is just my good friend, my amiga.
It was she who corrected me to insist to them that I was her corozon, LOL! But everybody understands what's going on and everybody is cool with it!
One thing I learned that you can't keep them too far away from their family and friends. You can't keep them cooped up for your own private pleasure. If you don't have an appreciation for the culture and weird family values, you don't need a real local GF. (I'm an atheist, but spent two hours in a remote local church on Sunday, saw a wedding anniversay re-dedication, a baptism and joined in the karaoki like singing with 2 guitars and a keyboard).
Everybody in the village showed up. But how we all held hands and shook hands with everybody around us at the end, reminded me what community was all about and the cold place I left in NA where I lived for 6 years and never knew my neighbors, and never got a "hola!" on the street!
So if you want a real Domincan GF, pay your respects to her family and friends once in a while. She'll love you for it!
I never had a real GFE for an hour, or an overnighter! Takes a little comittment, or don't bother with it!
