Medellin Reports

Most people who had anything happen to them in Medellin are Colombian of course. Most mongers in Colombia are Colombian. I can tell you understand that but that bit of truth seems to get muddled on gringo forums. I read Colombian provider guides regularly. If they ever mention gringos it is so rare that I can't remember ever seeing it. Those forums are about the girls and the game. Guys don't spend much time talking about themselves or how much money they have or what their language ability is.

These fools are not stupid, they look at me and say WTF no way and they are off to find easy prey.

Yesterday on Netflix I was watching the series / documentary about life sentences given to murderers and guess what the killer always searched for, small stature, feminine looking (ie gay) weak men.

So wetaher your in Colombia or the US or where ever, keep an eye open!

There are about 120,000 people in Laureles. 2 gringos getting robbed, hardly qualifies as "infested. " Gringos get robbed wherever they go, usually because they do something stupid.

Yes, there are gringos in Laureles. A lot of gringos move to Laureles to get away from the gringos in El Poblado. But, you will seldom see them. A few here and there. I usually spotted a few each day, especially on the metro, since line 2 of the metro runs out near La Escaleras at Comuna 13, a popular tourist destination.

If you pay attention, you'll spot gringos in many areas of Medellin. Some are easy to spot. Some are difficult to spot. It hardly qualifies as an infestation, except in Parque Lleras.

Prove it to yourself. Go to Laureles. Start on Carrera 70 at UPB and walk to the Estadio metro station. Keep a rough running total of the number of people on the street, along with an exact count of the number of gringos you spot. Now what percentage are gringos? If you get over 1%, you can call it an infestation. If you walk up Avenida Nutibara you'll get a higher number, but it's still way below 1%. If you walk up Avenida Bolivariana you'll get a much lower number.

Of course, maybe that's all changed. Maybe in the past 14 months 1200 more gringos a day have started visiting Laureles.

Or maybe you're one of the guys who, the first time they hear someone speaking English in an area, declares the place to be overrun with gringos.

You could have taken this chick for 1 hour for FS to include dancing, BJ, and fucking for 200K. Instead you opted for dance only for 15 min for 80K? So an hour of dancing would have cost you 320K. Way more than an hour of dancing, BJ, and fucking. Maybe she thought you wanted dancing and BJ and gave you the price of 80K; a little less than half the price of FS and only 1/4 of the time. Seems more like she got over, than her doing you a favor because you were nice.

I usually make about 4-5 trips to Mde a year, staying a week or a two a time. I will buy the chicas drinks, party favors, and meals. Why? Because I already do all that so why not share that experience with her. Maybe it yields something more down the line but that's never my expectation, I do it because I am looking to have fun and get the best experience. I go down there to bang chicks otherwise I can't. I'm not going down to bang a 5-6. I want 8-10 if I am paying for it. I can get 5-6 here anytime, I have no interest in that. The 8-10 are a little more expensive, I am fine with that, I want a little more quality. Am I overpaying a little? Probably am but by not much. I usually pay anywhere between 300-600 TLN. I get the service I want (BBJ, multiple polvos, kissing, clean and fresh smelling chick). Some of you argue you can get all of that in centro and I believe it but there is also a time factor that I have to consider. Some of you may be here for weeks to months at a time where as I am here for a week or two at max. I can't spend half my time looking for these discounted chicks in centro, I would waste my whole vacation. Maybe I am exaggerating the time you spend looking for these diamonds in the rough. I consider my time very valuable just like you all should. I can spend X amount of time looking for that diamond in centro or logon to my computer and work for a few hours and get 8-10 chica and she arrives at my doorstep (obviously never the time we agreed to and 1-2 hours late).

Everyone's situation is different, whether you factor in age or income. To say I overpay just because I am stupid or naive isn't correct. I overpay because the time spent finding that much cheaper chick, I could login to my computer and make that amount (most likely more than that). For me after time / cost are weighed this works for me. 300-600 k for TLN for a 8-10 chica with the service I want. I will continue to buy these chicks drinks, party favors, and food because I don't mind and tow certain degree I think it improves the service, who knows it could lead to something more beneficial for me. Even if it doesn't, I will still continue with this trend. One thing I will say, after offering drinks / party favors they open up a lot more and the experience goes to a different level. I forgot to mention I am not fully fluent in Espanol but I understand most of the words so I have a general idea of what they are saying and able to converse with them so my interactions are not basic which may also help. They always compliment my language skills, they are almost relieved. Most are thankful I am not like the other gringos. Some other examples I can think of that were mentioned to me:

1) One centro casa chick (50 k / hh); I asked her if she wanted to meet up later after work. She said she couldn't because she had to work. I asked what? The casa closes at 7, she said she usually works the clubs at night. Not sure which clubs specifically because I didn't ask, but it doesn't seem unreasonable that other centro casa chicks would do the same.

2) Not necessarily directly analogous because she was not working at the same places during the same time interval, but one centro casa chick told me she first started her career as a sex worker at one of the Poblado casas, I think it's called candy house or candy land or similar? Anyway, she then started working at a centro casa instead, she said she made more at the centro casa because it was higher volume. She was also a bit self conscious of herself because she didn't have any surgeries and had more of a girl-next-door type of look and said the girls with surgical enhancement tended to get higher volume at the Poblado casas. She was a still a beautiful girl by all means, but I guess it goes to show you that you can find the same girls working both pricing models in centro and in Poblado. This girl also told me something interesting, that during her stay at candy house, her boss had offered to pay for her breast enhancement surgery (usually 3 - 4 million pesos), but afterwords she would be indebted to the casa and would need to stay there so she didn't do it. Interesting business model.

Look up "Medellin Rich" for example, he has an open friendslist with mostly working girls, add them all. Then go on the working girls pages and look at their profile pics and look for the white guy who comments some shit like "beautiful babe" who is located in Kansas, and go on his friends list and add every girl from medellin, they're all working girls.

This should be more than enough to get you started. After you add a bunch of them you'll notice you have 12+ mutual friends with certain gringos you've never met, guess what? They're mongers too, go to their friendslist and add all of the chicas from Medellin. But overall I don't think facebook girls are worth the time or the money, or maybe they are and I just got a bad draw of girls LOL. It actually takes quite a lot of time to get into the whole facebook scene with finding girls and messaging them, trying to have them come, having them delay, having them wait for a babysitter for their kid, etc. If you're new to Medellin without a network I would also encourage you to be aggressive with adding friends, cause this is literally a numbers game, a lot of the chicas may not respond, be flakey etc. I guess it would be different if you already had a network of chicas set up, but I didn't. Also make sure you add girls that are located in Medellin, Bello, Itagui, etc. Don't add girls located in Maracay, Venezuela you've drifted into the wrong section of someone's facebook friends list. But the standard facebook pricing model is still pretty steep for Medellin IMO.

I am not trying to play captain save a hoe by any means but it does open them up when you offer drinks / meal, at least for me. She might have got my ass thinking I would pay for 200 k instead the 80 k. It was my first time at Luna lunera, I don't know what package comes with it. Definitely was not doing math man.

At least some gringos, especially the older ones, move from Poblado to Laureles to get away from the steep hills. There are lots more gringos in Laureles than most any barrio other than El Poblado. "Overrun" is a very strong word. I would say Laureles is overrun with bars and restaurants.

On another note, are we really arguing about how many gringos there are in Laureles? It's the second most popular area for gringos in Medellin but still has a shit load less than Poblado but a lot more then Bello. Is there anything some of you guys can't fight about?
