The price won't exceed 3 k even for good hotels you really can get some great deals.

All good till that. When I reached the room, there was a call on the landing asking me to give ID proof. And I gave reluctantly.
Now hours after I am beginning to worry. Will it cause any trouble? Has any one been in this mess before? Or is it normal?
The DP assures it is normal and not to worry. But I am getting more and more paranoid. Can please anyone advice me?

Also most Goibibo hotels have strict policy and the hotel vacancy is not always allowed during check in due to different policy and vacancy shown in app and actual reality.
After my first MP experience in pachai, I decided to try pachai nal. This time, I called ahead and asked about extras during the call. They didn't refuse but asked me to come in person. It was a Saturday, and they usually offer some discounts for combos on weekends. But I opted for the basic package and paid 2 k for a 1-hour dry massage. Only a NI therapist was available. How a good conversation turned in to memorable experience.
I'm a regular business traveller to Chennai and get to stay in good hotels. I tried going to the spa in one of them which famous actor probably once had an ownership share (not sure about this though). When I first went there the ambience was super clean with soft music in the background, all staff are NE. Assigned one whose name starts with A, which is not her real name. The hotel manager usually knows everything. This is just for formality. Shouldn't be an issue.
