safary club always been an expat rendez vous, there are a nice band but refuse single people if it get to busy inside, so go there a little early to avoid this problem.
i don't know now about the action situation, but in april the government decide to pull out all the chinese gals which wasn't working officialy. what you can find for sure is the phillipinas, indonesian, nepalese which work in the major hotels in murep001, but you have to be do more work cuz there are non-pro.

I stayed at the Crown plaza. They have a nice bar, but there was absolutely no action goign on at all- no babes!!.
You say there were Brits at the Intercon, were they there for the picking? The Brits are pretty much open after some drinking I assume!

if you are going to murep001 then the only action you can get is at the sheraton. there is a ton of choice at the saba disco, chinese mainly but if you are patient then definitley you can get some very good choice. i'm not sure about the hotel itself. imho your best bet is to stay in one of these hotel apartments since they are considered to be very girl friendly. try some of these in the ruwi area. there is a hotel apartment in the ruwi area near al falaj called nooza apartments and you can definitely stay there. if you talk to the guy at the reception he may even arrange some girls for you without actually going out to sheraton. but i think you should sample the fare before you commit. i hope this helps.

Chinese are to be found all over the city.
Was at Radisson on thursday and found atleast 5 girls -looks (5).
Moved to hayat - saw 3 russians girls looks(7) they were hooked to 2 locals. Saw 3 chinese looks (6).
The brits were with their own group.
At intercon - the brit girls were into more than normal drinking. Looks like they would'nt move out without having to spend atleast RO 10 for drinks.
The going rate for chinese is RO 10 ST and RO 40-50LT depending on the quality.
Some chinese are declining asians.
The rates for russians and brits not known.
