Sharing causes to much disruption to sleep, relaxation, etc. However most of their "apartments" were small rudimentary, e.g. 1 room with separate bathroom.I can think of one who was supporting whole family in her house including mother, sister, sister's no good boyfriend, etc. and it was hell like she was thinking about moving out even though her house (she paid for the house).However this may not be a representative sample.If not P4P they couldn't afford it anyway.

It was part of a larger conversation about pay in Thailand, in a group of about six of us discussing it. Because of the low pay for being a teacher, she supplemented her income by being a guide on "eco-tourist" trips. She made more money part time, with tips, being a guide than being a teacher. Perhaps she was lying about her income (I don't think so), but I did not hear wrong.I had another conversation with a woman a few days later in BKK. She was a nurses aide and said she made between 4-5000 Baht per month.
