Kansai: Kobe-Osaka-Nara-Kyoto

If you take the midosuji subway to Tennoji you'll be very near Tobita.

The Midosuji subway is the red line on the maps.

At Tennoji station it might be easiest to exit the subwayin the Kntetsu Department store. Walk up to the 2nd floor and go outside on the pedestrian bridge. As you exit the dept store you'll see the JR station right across from you. Turn left and the Kntetsu Department store will be on you left and the station on your right.

Walk straight over the street and down the stairs and toward Osaka City Hospital. You'll pass a few buildings on your left (Apollo building ,Lucius) and then you'll get to the hospital. Turn in and walk behind the hospital always heading downhill. You'll see the start of a shopping street on your right and a housing complex on your left. Just past the shopping street are some stairs and once you go down them you will be in Tobita.

So it you stand between the dept store and the station the dept store is 9:00 - station is 3:00- you start walking towards 12:00 , but your general direction is 11:00
So turn in the road between the hospital buildings and go up the small hill - the road goes down and curves to the right-you see the shopping street and down the stairs into Tobita.

Thank you. I get to Osaka by this afternoon and wanted to make sure that I get a chance to see Tobita. I don't have an Osaka subway map with me and my computer is screwed up right now that I can't see PDF files. Anyways, I am assuming it isn't too far. Is there any other action near my hotel that you may be aware of? I wish I could give such clear, concise directions for you if you were in Tokyo but I just got there too. If you need to know anything about Seoul, I can help you there.

If you ask for a tourist map at your hotel.

Your hotel should be near Yodoyobashi station which is on the Midosuji line.

Ask them for a map and ask for Osaka city hospital. You won't be giving anything away, so have no fear.

I think it is best to get there from Tennoji because it is really easy to ask directions for and to find.

It is also a much nicer and possibly safer way to get to Tobita.

The map at Nationwide SUKEBE is good and you can see the hospital right next to the (to Tennoji) written on the map.

I may take you up on your offer of info for Seoul next month, if my planned trip takes place.

As for Osaka, Tobita is the best place for guaranteed FS with J-gals.

There are some Chinese este that are OK, and Club Coco (in Namba) has foreigner friendly gals sometimes.

I haven't much luck in Kansai, but then again I have never attempted to find the Osaka Soaps.

I suggest going in the afternoon when business is slow and there is less chance you will scare off any Japanese customers.

I did find one (and only one) in Kobe's district. They said no at first, but then I said my friend had been there and then said OK, but I needed to pay an extra 5,000, making the price 20,000/60minutes. I think that was an all-inclusive price, but I am not 100% sure. According to Sudsy (on the Tokyo board), he pays the entrance plus three or four times that for the girl. In any case, I didn't like the gaijin tax, so I declined.

On the Umeda track there are a few interesting businesses.

There used to be a CoCos there, but it is gone also.

Maybe I should have said in American-mura. There is a Tower Records there (it might have closed, but the building and sign are there).

If you go to Sports Takahashi it has a river on one side and a street on the other. Cross that street and turn down the next. Then walk down to the end of it. You might see a soapland in a white building on the left.

There still are quite a few pink places in that area, though most are not foreigner friendly. The exceptions are the re-located Cocos and some Chinese este offering FS (both are hotel DH rather than on premises).
