I will be bringing some friends to AC. Do you know anywhere which has great food in angeles city? Near nepo perhaps?

Its a friends birthday and we wanna have a nice dinner before the drinks and gals begin.

Any clues guys?

I prefer Manila usually over AC. AC has pure numbers there but looks wise it's a real roller coaster at times and performance is all over the map imho. If your standards are real high, I have my doubts you'll like Angeles but maybe give it a try and if you don't like it just head back. You probably have to go there at least to check it out.

I would have to go with AC if you really want to have a good time. Manila is huge and the action is spread out not to mention its just like all other big cities over-populated and polluted.

Kind of depends on what kind of food you are looking for, but my personal favorite is Cottage Kitchen which is pretty much a cajun food restaurant.

Hey, Mingus I just returned from 5 days in Angeles. Remember that the barfine covers all services rendered by the girl. Some will run after one pop, and some will want to hang with you all day and night if they like you. So the number of pops for your BF depends on the circumstances.

As a general guideline, here are some numbers for you:

Perimeter Bars: 1100 or 1200 BF, lady drinks around 100P

Fields Bars: 1350 BF. Lady drinks anywhere from 105 in the smaller bars to 250 at Atlantis. Lady drink prices are not always posted, and they can change depending on the time of day (wee morning hours being the highest). Ask your server!

Tip: Depends on the service. Can be anywhere from 50 to just cover the trike (that would be quite low side), up to a few hundred if you were real happy with the service. Any more than that, and she will think you are Korean.

again a mindblowing week in AC..... :) Nice Ramadhan celebration!

Usually earlier I stayed in a proper hotel somewhat in the 30/35$ range.
Stayed this time in Lewis Grand. Morning round and getting up at 10am, having a good breakfast.
Then gone for relaxing and swimming. Nice.

Afternoon ST from the usual suspects,
Gentlemens, Emotions, Honey Ko, TOC, JF etc....
Since the ST is same as LT, it is a problem to get rid of the girl if you consider ST only.
The girls simply don't want to leave.

Also barfining stunners in Fields comes faster.... :D

Finally, I took the airport transfer of the hotel for 400ps each,
if the bill comes big, it doesn't count anymore.

Not much of a difference.

I've heard rumours that BF in Fields will go up to 1,500ps soon.
Before high season, means somewhat November.
Dunno whether it's true. Just rumours.

Anyhow, next is Bangkok and Bali, also not too bad.
AC again in 50 days and counting...

Ekspat on lewis grande site they mention that they provide a free car service to fields and SM. Can you confirm that service is reliable.

Also how does it work? When you're on fields you call and a few minutes later they show up to collect you?

Also as it's the low season can you get room lower than the price tag if you stay a bit longer.

truly an excellent approach! for an 'average service' i always tip with 300 pesos, but only after a 'first class performance' with 500 pesos! the ratio would be approx. 10:1 or so. and of course, if the lady disappears all too early she does not get even one single centavo for her trike!

Yes, that's what they told me. But finally I took a trike, it's simply faster.
I didn't like standing in Fields with the girl and waiting for the van.

Uh oh...all this sudden interest...may make my next booking there a little more difficult. What ever happened to..."Its too far from Fields"..."Its too expensive"..."Its poor value"..

Anyway, I believe Ekspat is correct. If the girl finds out that you are staying there, it will improve your standing. I think its because it gives them fairy tale luxurious living, away from the squalor and poverty that they are accustomed to, albeit, for only a short time. In my case, Lewis was so new, some girls did not know about it, although, Roxanne did, dissed her Pinoy boyfriend and stayed LT.

I did not bother to call for the ride as one of the staff suggested I did. I only used it when I was at Lewis wanting to go somewhere. They had 2 cars with another on order, although, on one occasion, 1 car was in Manila and the other out with a 30min wait, so I did not bother and just took the trike.

Yes. Free rides to Fields and SM Mall. But if you look at the fine print, it mentions that you should tip the driver. I did not tip on one trip. The staff sometimes also uses it for free rides to the mall and I doubt they tipped either. I bumped into one guest who used it a lot and I doubt he tipped either. I did however tip the driver on my last trip to Clark. I also tipped the porter, doorman etc...

Hopefully they will remember me, and on my next visit, who knows, if the hotel was full, they might bump someone off for me, a generous returning guest.
