Yes the metro is safe. Your one concern might be old town gets deserted after dark from my understanding.

All Quito casa's seem to go without towels. Maybe it's just the 15 min option but I also did 30 at some and did not receive. 155 has a lot of upgrade options including a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue for $600. I'll bet that comes with a towel.

Your given a slip a paper when you pay at the entrance. Just give that to the girl but tell her you want to go for 30 minutes and she should ask for the rest of the cash then. I told the first girl I wanted 30 min but she just grabbed the slip and went to turn it in, said let's see how this goes for only 15 min and we went over the time frame no problem. I would say it depends on the girl's attitude, no one will knock on the door.

Cafe Roja- same price. Used to like this place but went twice and only one cute one playing on her phone back by the DJ. Thought she might be trading options so left her alone and just walked down to 155 twice.

Venus- $3 to enter than had to pay an extra dollar for Club cerveza. One young cute one who would not leave her buddies so took and older cute one with good attitude. $20 for 15 min than an extra buck to attendant who does do the annoying knock on door.

122- same price. Two cute ones, one just hanging with dudes and the other smiled at me earlier but later on was more into her phone than me so went with curvy one.

So far no luck of finding guest friendly near parque la Carolina area.

Apart from mongering, I wanted to visit the touristy places like Mindo, Banos etc.

After reading thru few posts on FB, I am trying to back off with renting car which seems to be risky as well as expensive (nothing less than $500 for 5 days).

In Medellin I get to meet a chica (Laura) who has car and drove us to near by places. I recall giving her 150 kcop for session, then another 100 k to 200 k for driving us.

She speaks English and very good attitude.

Wish I can find some one like that in Quito. But I am seriously looking for any driver with car who can take us to the touristy places during the day and night to these clubs.

I don't mind paying another $100 or $200 extra for this service along with taking care of the expenses of that driver.

Any leads are really appreciated.

For now I reserved thru expeida from europcar in the UIO for $300 but the their website says insurance is around $50/ day. That brings to $80.

I posted in FB for a driver with car and got some responses for $100/ day. So for 5 days. Its around $500. Is this a good price which includes trip to banos, mindo and local sightseeing places and some trips to clubs like 155,122, mosque etc,.

Quito is close to 45 min from the airport. Some car rentals will allow you to use your own "extra" coverage. Either a pre paid plan or coverage from your CC. Taxi or Uber from UIO to city center will run 25 to 30 one way.
