Farrel is a little street just off of Gran Via, which is one of the biggest streets (roundabouts and everything) in the city. If you scroll up the page in the following link, you will find a map. The neighborhood is very safe. I ate at a nearby restaurant, sat outside and read a book while waiting, and did some shopping.

The easiest way to get there is to take the metro to the Plaza Espanya station (or Rocafort which is just a little bit further) and take a cab for less than 5 euros the rest of the way. The cabs know where Farell Street is, and it is a very short street. Because Gran Via is such a big street with one ways and roundabouts, it is not easy to find the intersection of Gran Via and Farrel by foot.

We are probably not doing the right thing by calling this a brothel. It is really a big apartment with many rooms shared by a consortium of independents. It is such a big apartment that it is highly likely that more than one independent will be there at the same time, and there may be one independent there who does not have a session booked and is just providing security and friendship to the other girls. What has been written is true: the girls are younger and prettier, but when people say this is a "big club", you have to keep in mind that everything is smaller in barcelona. To me, this place was tiny. It's smaller than any strip club I've ever been. It's an extra large room with a bar in the back, and a stage in the middle that doesn't allow for girls to do any strip-club style moves. She just gyrates around. There were at least 40 girls when I went on a Friday night. It was a surreal experience because it felt like a reverse bar scene: instead of the guys hitting on girls, girls were trying to hit on you. I have learned that if a guy makes a little effort, with whatsapp, email, google translate, and google maps, he can access the same market as the locals without falling into tourist traps.

The key is to do some advance planning. Although a lot of providers speak and write some English, and use Google translate themselves, it is very easy to use google translate to compose a message, translate it into Spanish, and copy / paste the message into email or whatsapp. And of course the reviews in this forum are very useful. If a guy reads all of Smuler's reviews, those links alone will give someone all the girls he needs for a good, inexpensive trip.

I do miss Laura Conte, who was perfectly bilingual. But she was well educated and appears to have moved on to a field that allows her to use her degree.
