If they do not allow Chinese, what about Americans?
I'll guess China, Korea, Japan are first in. USA and UK will be last in. Europe will be just before USA and UK. Even though Russia is going to down the tubes in this they will be ahead of the rest of Europe because Thailand loves the Russians.
There's always been a lot of bickering on a non-hobby board that Farang are unwanted in Thailand. The order Thailand opens up to foreign travelers will speak volumes on who Thailand wants in their country the most and, more importantly, who they don't want.

Export quality
No idea about local Thais but definitely in KL, where they are considered exotic / preferred. Just search for any KL escorts site and see Thai girls pictures, you will understand what I am saying.
Wonder why all the mixed Thai girls who look like white girls are more expensive than the others. Recently, I paid 2000 each for GFE service from these TF girls, when the others charged 1000-1500. I'm not a Thai culture expert, but is this look favorable amongst the Thais?
Thais like white skin
Thai's love the lighter skin, just look around at how much skin whitening creams and make-up are on sale.
Absolutely true. I remember going to movies in Thailand and watching all the ads before the movie started. The ads only showed young, very light skinned Thais. Not a darker, Isaan complexion ever was shown on the screen.
That's an assumption that cannot be made. Most countries only report "confirmed" cases (for whatever definition of "confirmed" they use), so the figures do not reflect the actual number of infections. In a recent test of a representative sample of people in Belgium, 4.5% of those tested had corona virus anti-bodies in their blood, so must have been infected at one time or another. 4.5% of the Belgian population is a little over 500 000, yet Belgium only officially reported less than 50 000 confirmed cases. So there is a good argument to be made that the actual infection rate may be 10 times as high as the confirmed infection rate reported. Much will depend of course on how intensive these tests are being done. Except for countries such as South-Korea, Singapore or the worst hit areas in China, testing is nowhere near what is needed to get a good view on the actual spread of the infection.
Thailand, with almost 70 million people, will have much more than the less than 3000 "officially" infected people. How much will be the real value? That's anybody's guess.
I think you meant to write 'how extensively these tests are being done'. Your point is spot on: widespread testing is the key to real good info.
You're assuming that many countries are going to trust WHO (the Chinese PR organization) for deciding who to allow entry in. I already know many European countries won't be allowing Chinese anytime soon, good for our FKK friends, less Chinese there. But less Chinese there means, more in Thailand. Which is not great for me and for many others. Most probably they will hike up the prices moment they come and larger their numbers the higher will be the effect. Just one of the scenario.
I don't think many European countries will be attractive to most foreign tourists for quite sometime given the high numbers of infection.
Chinese are market price spoilers, that I agree.
Great points about travel restrictions and policies enforced by Thailand for tourists which will play a big role for economy. I've a feeling and just a feeling, that government will make very tourist-friendly policies to attract as many as possible. Things are already starting to open quicker than expected, and numbers of case are way down officially other than the spike we had the other day.
Which kinds of businesses? Smaller ones were expected but bigger ones can pay couple of months of bill, so if they're closing down, that would be surprising. And as far as I know, other than couple of gogos on WS, nothing has been closed officially by now. But the numbers of gogos will close with a much quicker rate if the usual low-season turned out to be too low.
On the Darkside there aren't any GoGo's as you noted the majority of them are small business even before the virus how they stay opened was anyone guesses, these were paying 10,000 to 15,000 baht a month just for salons and massage shop. Sure this isn't big money compared to the rent in town but relative to the poor since that is the majority of Thais in Thailand reason leaders are trying to open things up.
When I drove around yesterday tough to really tell when it comes to Beer Bars but the quick look when there is no furniture stool etc empty box that is an indication and my drive down Soi 7-8, along Soi Buakhao area looks bleak. When you got cheap hotels many closed even one or two being torn down that is a lot of jobs for locals. When it comes to GoGo, it is impossible to tell until the ban is lifted on them my prior guess was 30% we will have to wait to see if I'm right or wrong.
Prior to the Virus I had just done a new map and listing for a friend on the Darkside for bars when the ban is lifted I will not have to travel and check who is actually open and close.

The other day a chick told me 2000 for LT. I told her 1000. She immediately said okay. When she got here I asked her why she said 2000. She didn't say anything about her skin. She said because that is what guys at the Indian discos give her. Next time they come over ask them about their pricing strategy instead of us trying to guess at it.

So that means no shop to split the money with. You keep 100%. I pay you 200/hour. She gave in. Then she tried to send someone else. What is happening is that her and other girls from her shop are running the massages from the dating apps while the shop is closed. I said no way.. I want you to come, not someone I have not seen.
I had her stay 2 hours. When I tell you there were no extras on this menu. Even when I got up between hours to go to the toilet she ran clear to the other side of the room. I guess she thought I was going to try to attack her or something. Anyway, the shop she works at is on Walking Street. She said the rent for their shop is 150K/month.
they tried to touch my pocket. A lot of time they followed me. Or told me something that I ignored. They are aggressive with girls, they saw them as a sexual toys, for that they come as a group to envoy these toys with their friends. I know all of them are not like this. But 99% of them in beach road are dangerous, had a little budget, try to touch and kiss for free. They are dressed as if they walked in their villages.
You are full of shit and this post has ZERO information in it. Nobody tried to touch your pockets unless it was a Thai ladyboy that you mistook for an Indian.
A dangerous Indian guy in Pattaya? Get the fuck out of here.
Newsflash: Everybody sees chicks as sexual toys; that is why guys come to Pattaya!
Little budget? Chicks tell me that Indian guys are the ones who pay the most. No need to lie to me; I pay the least and find it no badge of honor or pride to be a big spender in a hooker haven. And they are the biggest customers in Soapys. They go there by the busload and after they have chosen girls the fishbowl is empty. They built 4 new Indian discos on Walking Street because they have a little budget?
What made me pay more attention to this post was when I read you say they are dressed as if they walked in their villages. 9 times out of 10 when I see an Indian guy in Pattaya he is wearing what White guys are always recommending people wear in mongering cities around the world; freaking pants and a button down shirt. The other 1 out of 10 times it will be a tshirt or golf shirt to replace the button down shirt. I have been to India a couple of times and yes this is the same way I see them dressed there. But you wrote it trying to be derogatory and you ended up making no sense at all. How would YOU recommend they dress? Matter of fact, how were you dressed sir?
The only thing you said about Thailand in that long ass post was that you gave chicks 3000 for long time. You have not mentioned shit else besides people mistaking you for Indian at gogo bars. You did not name 1 gogo bar you visited and you did not mention where you got girls for 3000 LT. And mfs are saying what a great post this was? What was great about it? This is a troll post if I have ever seen one.

Yesterday on Thai Friendly I ran into a chick that I knew. I have never fucked her, but I have met up with her at her job at a salon a couple of times. I said what the fuck? Why haven't you ansered my messages in Line? I have been trying to get with you but you don't answer. She said she does not play Line. She said that the memory on her phone was getting full so she deleted it. What does play Line mean? I see it as an essential communication application around these parts, not a game. To me what she was saying was akin to, "Damn my tool box is full, let me throw this hammer away. ".
I had a chick in Dominican Republic that was short on money for school. She said she would sell her computer to pay for school. I was like a deer in headlights. Well once you sell your computer how are you going to do your fucking school work? Why would you sell the car so that you can get gas money? She said you are right, I had not thought about that. Geez Louise.
I'm not a Thai culture expert, but is this look favorable amongst the Thais?
Of course it is. Everyone in Asia wants to be white. Being dark means you toil in the sun as a poor farm labourer, and therefore, are right at the bottom of the pile. Most of the rich elite in Thailand have Chinese heritage, hence their very pale complexion. Even the former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was Chinese Thai. It is very hard for Isaan girls to get respectable jobs (E. G. As office ladies) as they are discriminated against in their own country due to their dark complexion.
Same applies to the Philippines. The lighter skinned girls there have European blood and are seen as more desirable. India and Brazil are probably the worst countries in terms of discrimination based on variations in brown skin tones.
It's only the white mongers who lust after the dark skinned girls in Thailand and the Philippines.
