Mongers tend to come to Sosua from many different cultures, and are of different ages and economic backgrounds, at different stages of their life, with different expectations, and seek different things in women. It's all good!

Some like the young, hot and the restless, some like to be in the center of bidding market at 2 am Classico, and some like to be in bed by 10 after sharing a home cooked meal with a more relaxed, mature babe.

It's all good, and one size will never fit all, as these ongoing arguments attest.

The ones I hang with I call semi-pros, because they have jobs in the hotel, restaurant and bar business, and don't rely on me for their survival.

My regular holds two part time jobs, one in PP and one in Cabarete, and at the same time puts her kid through school. She comes when I call, with her bag packed and occasionally we have her kid down for a day around the pool or the beach. My contribution raises her living standard and she certainly raises mine. She shares her girlfriends with me.

Many of the bar staff in the areas I frequent are available to me too. To me they are semi-pros, but others may disagree. We can agree they sell their favors (which to me includes cooking and cleaning AND sex).

I have the perfect relationship for me, personally, but obviously it is not for all out there!

My advice is stop worrying about what other guys are doing and concentrate on what makes YOU happy.

The powers that be want things off of the streets, yet they closed Passions and CMP which were out of limelight and way down the street where there were no problems. They were behind closed doors and private to boot. Tis' legal yes, however it's the 3rd party thing that is the issue. That IS illegal. So unless they changed the rules I doubt very seriously that it is reopening. I would love to see them come back but I feel it is just wishful thinking at this point. I will check for myself next week when I return to paradise.

But guys will continue to ask in various threads if their old hooker spot such and such in whatever country has made a return. The only yes I have ever seen was a Help knockoff that sprung up in Rio a couple of years ago and that was top of the line bullshit and was only open for all of 2 weeks. Can't go back. They come down on a three or four hour flight right into Angeles. They do not care what they pay. It likes going to Vegas for the weekend. They are in town 2 to 3 days.

The going rate in a bar (old school dance in bathing suit on stage) now is 3000/3500 p for long time but might be short time. Plus 500 to 1000 p tip plus one or two lady drinks 300 p each. So 3800 to 5200 p for hopefully over night. Might be short time. It is 52 p to US dollar. So Philippine peso is almost same in conversion at DR peso. $75 to $100 US.

When I first started going there in 2000. $20 US for all night plus $5 tip. It was only 2000 p plus 500 tip and 150 p drinks 5 years ago.

So you are right. Sosua is awesome bang for your buck plus you do not have travel 25 hours to go from door to door.

I get most of my girls out of the disco for 1500 p (short time) plus 100 for trike. Occasional buy a drink. Plus 1000 p to 1500 for short time bars.

Matter of fact, just came in from LA Cafe. Only problem is that some of the amounts you mention are purely voluntary. It is not mandatory to buy any ladies a drink. Also in Angeles it is not mandatory to give any tips above the bar fine as it is in Manila (because the girl's payment is half of the bar fine), yet you are handing out $19 tips. And the bar fine is the same price whether long time or short time. It seems you are the one shorting yourself by spending $75 to $100 for short time when you could be spending only $52 for long time.

I get my chicks from High Society Disco as well as WeChat and Tinder for 1000 Philippine pesos to 1500 Philippine pesos ($19-$28) long time. It is your money but there really is not a reason to give them $30 for short time, especially since you spend way more time in the city than I do. This tells me that the Koreans are not the ones to blame. Also in the bars I pay the girls after and not before. Everyone knows what is liable to happen if you pay someone before the work is done.

When I first started going to Sosua it was 1000 pesos long time for a chick. Now you see reports mentioning guys shelling out 3000 pesos for short time. If I am not mistaken, there are no Koreans in Sosua to blame this one on.

Maybe you feel threatened when there is discussion that you do not really understand or find interesting, but the solution to that is to pose your own questions about what you would like to know about and someone may be able to help you.

The DR is a unique destination in some ways--close to the US and full of attractive women who may be up for anything from casual paid sex to long term relationships and even marriage, and every type of relationship in between--and it is also full of scammers who appear to be one thing, but are actually another, so it is very useful for men who visit the DR to meet women to share information and experiences that helps to decode the Dominican culture. I suppose, as in most Dominican establishments, you could chat up the female staff to meet after hours, and that, given the owners' connections the staff will be more attractive than in most places, but the owners, for obvious reasons, are not going to risk prosecution again. In other words, same deal as in Blue Ice Piano Bar which they currently own.

I'm heading to Sosua again next week for a little 5 day sprint. My normal routine is to spend the morning and early afternoon on the playa or walking around Pedro Clisante, Rosen, etc, looking for some immediate action or some new WhatsApp numbers. I already have plenty of girls in WhatsApp from previous trips that I want to repeat during that lull between lunch and 6 pm. In the late afternoon and into the evening, I hit up Bourbon Street, Clasicos, the new casino, and then end up in Copacabana on the late night, respectively, as each venue becomes the scene of action.

Anything else I should be doing?
