The key to Pattaya as said many times over on this board is don't overplan. I still recall my first visit I had about 7 months to pre-plan. When I got there none of my planning mattered other than learning the baht bus route and selecting as nice a hotel my budget could afford along the baht bus route. Pattaya is a go with the flow sort of town. Hit Walking Street, LK Metro, Soi 6, walk along Beach Roach, hit the soapies, walk around Soi Buakhao and Soi 25, a place like iBar or 808, maybe try a G club or BJ bar. Wear dry fit light clothing and long shorts because it's hot in Thailand. Wear comfortable footwear because you will be walking a lot on very uneven sidewalks. Nice sandals are acceptable footwear in almost all places in Pattaya. You can pick up girls anywhere as Mr. E has posted here many times. Just go with the flow it will all work out for you. The girls will find you.

If time permits, try a few days in Bangkok as well and compare the two cities. Go to Bangkok at the beginning of your trip directly from the airport. It's closer for the travel weary.
