I did browse through few pages but could not find any thing in particular close to beach road. I don't want to wander off too far as I really love the joy of bringing in fresh meat from beach road and go back at it again within 2 hours if need be LOL.

I am not sure which quite Soi you mentioned, if you can, please do let me know. I hope to add my two cents by a report within 3/4 weeks.

Still kind of new to this I booked a stay at Mr Macs hotel is it girl friendly, I also hear that when booking I should book for two instead of one person? Can someone clarify this for me please.

Thanks![/QUOTE]You booked a stay at Mr Macs hotel and now you're asking if it's girl friendly and if you should have booked for two instead of one. I know you're new, but wouldn't it make more sense to ask or research these questions BEFORE you book a room.

The questions that you've asked have been asked and answered numerous times on this forum. Most "senior" ISG members are more than willing to share their experience, knowledge, and advice, but you've got to make an effort to do some basic research. Reading the ISG forum or using its search function and / or an internet search would have answered your basic questions.

Your questions remind me of me when I was in elementary school. I'd have a question that I needed an answer or how to spell a word. I'd ask my father for the answer. He'd point to the expensive World Book Encyclopedia or the dictionary and say "don't be lazy, look it up yourself. "

Instead of the encyclopedia or the dictionary, there's that new contraption called a computer keyboard and internet search.

Looking forward to your reports![/QUOTE]I had only two nights in Pattaya so decided to stay in Sunshine resort on Soi 8. Stay was better then earlier times as this was during low season. Hotel had almost 90% Indians in it with just a handful or Russians and Germans. It used be dominated by Russians earlier. The rooms were cleaned everyday, overall stay was pleasant but hotel does not have bidet and there is no in room ironing board etc. They charge for extra towels! Checked out the Whitehouse hotel on Soi 13, I will definitely stay here next time.

Just a heads up that the construction on the lot next to View Talay 6 (Walking Street side of course) is in full swing. Non-stop noise from 8 am until 6 pm. I am on the top floor and can hear the machinery cranking away. If you like to hang by the pool during the day it will be a bit noisy to say the least.

About a year back someone posted a link to a two bedroom condo that had a hot tub on the balcony. Can't find the link or the condo anywhere. Does anyone know of a good two bedroom and two bath condo that's available to rent for 2 weeks or so?

Unfortunately construction has just begun on a luxury high rise building next door and I cancelled my reservation.

Aware of the problem, Dance Watchers has included this notification on their website concerning this rental, "Special Sound Proofing was installed at the time this room was built. The walls and ceiling have special thick rubber installed for sound proffing and the balcony glass is double pane to keep the noise out. " But despite this assurance, I felt that ongoing pile driving construction next door would hamper my pool time afternoons and possibly wake me far too early in the morning. I know I would have had a great time at 18-659 otherwise and I was really looking forward to my stay there. Oh well! I took a gamble the construction next door would not begin until after the rainy season 2015 and I lost. So instead I am now booked at the Areca Lodge in an Evergreen super deluxe room for considerably less money. I plan to make the most of the situation, however, by spending some time checking out the LK Metro Go Go's in depth which is something I have not done before.

Will the new high rise ruin the ocean view of 18-659? I've always wondered what happens if you buy an ocean view unit and a new building destroys the view and makes your condo useless?

The project will also include restaurants and shops next to the beach. Anybody who bought a VT 6 condominium must have been aware that at some point development of the adjacent vacant property would occur and that due to the narrow and deep lay out of the lot, it would mean the views for some if not all floors would be affected. #18-659 is towards the front of VT6 facing South so its view of Pattaya Bay will be affected, but will not be totally obscured by the 15 story Cape Hotel. I would bet that after the construction is completed all property values go up because the neighborhood will be very high end with the Hilton and Central Festival Mall to the north and the new hotels to the south.

Personally I prefer old Pattaya circa the 70's and 80's before all the high rise construction began. It was much more my kind of town. But that's progress! If you agree with me you should check out Subic (Barrio Barretto & Baloy Beach).

I found a great deal for Pattaya Marriot Resort & Spa. Based on my research on former threads from few years ago or higher it seems like there is no joiner fee. A friend of mine though thinks there is for some reason, so hoping to get anyone here who's been recently or know people recently going there that can confirm on this hotel.

I only had one lady at a time though, not sure if you had multiple joiners to the same room at the same time.
