According to the following Facebook page, Emilianos is a sports bar:
https://www.facebook.com/Emilianos-Bar-El-semforo-983652701713546
Was in there last night. They have 2 42 inch TVs. So if that makes it a sports bar, then it's a sports bar. I reckon.
What about the girls?
Girls? Not many, but outside there are usually a few. Emilianos requires unaccompanied girls inside to be customers, and not just sit around waiting for guys. Approaching guys and or accepting money openly is not allowed. So most just hang outside by the corner.
I am going to Laredo, tx for some work next week. Does Nuevo Laredo have any strip clubs similar to Tijuana?

Only place that comes to mind (for me) is in Boystown across the street from Safari. Can't remember the name, and it's been 4 years since I went. It closes at 1 am for safety of patrons. Safari and Martha's are just clubs to buy ladies expensive drinks. This place has actual dance stage.
This is contingent on of Boystown is even around still. (Shows what I know)

Emilianos and the bar around the corner, bar 66, have been shut down by state alcohol inspectors. Doors are sealed.
Emilianos and the bar around the corner, bar 66, have been shut down by state alcohol inspectors. Doors are sealed.
Thanks for the update Bbond. You really have to wonder why they are closing down all these bars for minor infractions. Jarochos will probably be next.

He is trying to get 100% compliant, but until then he closes as a precaution.
I am going to Laredo, tx for some work next week. Does Nuevo Laredo have any strip clubs similar to Tijuana?
I was just there for a week between 18-25th. Went to boy town only as a errand to meet someone that had paper work we needed. This was on a Saturday night. Everthing was closed down and it was only 11 pm. The trucker bars Martha's and Safari closed too. But a few trips down into centrol I spotted quit a few girls working corners. There just not a whole lot going on in nuevo Laredo as far as clubs. But there plenty of action to be had. But be careful my last night there I hooked up with an old regular and the guy that drove her wanted to rob me. She ended that discussion pretty quickly and while I couldn't understand the exact words that where being said I was well aware what his intentions were. Luckily I've known the girl for along time now and she can be trusted but someone else and I could of been in a bad situation. He drove a regular marked taxi.
Emilianos and the bar around the corner, bar 66, have been shut down by state alcohol inspectors. Doors are sealed.
Update, both have re-opened.
The state government has closed, until further notice, all bars, and according to what it says, any places that sell open containers of alcoholic beverages.
Has anyone been crossing the border? Seem a shame to miss out on these exchange rates. Might try catching a flight in April. Any info would be appreciated.
