Any massage joints worth trying near MBK? Looking for Soapy or Sandwich / 4 hands massage. Something memorable to remember BKK by. .
Take a short walk. There are some massage shops opposite the Novotel (side entrance). Next to the hotel patisserie, bread shop. Amazing girls, you can choose, do them there or take them to your hotel (they get free around 11 pm).
About 200/300 bht counter. And 2/2. 5 k for everything else.
Damn those sexy uniforms!
If you lived in lower Sukhumvit everything you could ever imagine needing is within a few minutes walk with air conditioned shops galore. Ten minutes by foot from NEP is the BTS that jets one all over the city to mega malls & whatever one could dream of. Though you might want to take a sweater or light jacket as it gets a bit chilly in there. Ditto for night spots like Thermae.
If one can't tolerate any heat at all, even for 5 minutes, getting a taxi with air conditioning in the RLD gogo area of Nana in BKK is so easy to do, just like picking up TGs, and extremely cheap. Like 10 times less expensive than Western or Japanese standards.
For seasonal destinations in SEA, there is Hanoi. The Vietnam capitol has 4 seasons. I found IME it also offers significantly hotter women & better hotel value than BKK which is already dirt cheap relative to places like Hong Kong, Tokyo or Macau.
Pink, I have lived in lower Suk for 15 years and the amount of human detritus on the streets just gets worse and worse every year. When I moved to BKK I '99 you mainly saw western tourists and western mongers in the lower suk area. Now it is a hodge podge of Arabs and other various UEOs (folks of Unidentified Ethnic Origin). Many of these folks are amazingly ill mannered. No wonder the Thais in this area are so aggressive towards foreigners. One nice thing though are the gorgeous Korean and Chinese tourists. Lots in the hotel across the street from me. But all are with their boy band looking boyfriends sadly.
When my lease is up I will move to Thonglor, Ekkamai, or maybe Yen Akart. Nice residential areas that are still in the center of the city but away from the suk tourists.
Been to the South but have never been to Hanoi. Will check it out!
And no, aircon just does not cut it. The humidity is still present. Most of the time well in excess of 50%, which I find is the magic number. Less than 50% I feel pretty good, no matter how hot it is. Over 50% and it is oppressive. The last two days the humidity has finally abated and boy do I feel different. Mentally, physically, emotionally. Its like a weight has been lifted off my body.
I only take taxis when I have to. I have a motorbike. Put 55,000 kilometers on it riding around the streets of BKK. Most of the places I eat are in our of the way places. Perhaps the biggest drawback of lower suk is there is really no good Thai food in this area. Just crapola for the tourists. Most tourists would not even enter the restaurants that we eat at. But, pop on the bike and I can be to good food in 15 min.
Living here full time is a very different experience than coming as a tourist. Even if you are a three month a year tourist.
Looking to fine nice place near Asia hotel.
Heading into Bangkok in December but noticed that EE (Goon) is no longer on the website. She gives one of the best BBBJ's I've ever had so her absence is depressing. Does anyone know if she's moved on to another shop or quit the business altogether?
I believe she has exited the business, she mentioned that was her intention last time I saw her.
Fear not Pointy. Despite the fact her picture is no longer on the web site she still works at the Salon.
Regards,
BJ
Cheers. Thanks for the post. I do note that there are a number of other girls I have not tried so I will obviously be kept busy.
Living here full time is a very different experience than coming as a tourist. Even if you are a three month a year tourist.
I expect most tourists to the lower sukh RLD would love to live there year round. They need only compare it with the extremely pathetic locations they arrived from. They'd be like kids who got to live in the candy shop, with free access to all its goods.
I haven't noticed the non Western tourists around NEP being any worse or better than before. As I don't mingle with them or go where they are most numerous & mind my own business, I barely notice they even exist at all, period. Do you spend a lot of time lounging at the Grace Hotel, LOL? If you think a few of them are bad, imagine what you'd experience living in the countries they come from. Better to stick with LOS.
OTOH, if one has lost much of their mojo or is content to autoeroticize for the rest of their life, or explore non PFP options in their origin country, like first world Canada, for example, then maybe SEA has lost most of its value as a place to visit or live. And it's time to head home for a while, if not forever.
If a doctor can't help you with the heat issues you face in BKK, then a move to Seattle, home of the Super Bowl champions, should do the trick. Though I doubt there is anyone suffering from such due to riding on the BTS in the City of Angels.
While the wife is shopping I was wondering about anything near Pratunam?
Taxied to [CodeWord900] isn; t bad, but hoping for a closer BBBJ!
Thanks.

For a visitor, it really does not matter, but some of us live here full time.
No way I would even visit most of the nations those folks come from.
BKK is still the best food city on the planet.
Seattle is way to wet. San Diego, Boulder, drier climes for me.

They come here on their own money. Just because their behavior is different from yours. And probably more customers have driven up prices doesn't let you start ranting about their countries.
This has a lot to do with certain feminist movements rampant in the USA who have sufficient power to lobby congress to mandate immigration officials to ask questions and even search the belongings of men coming back from countries with a high instance of P4 P. They feel like they are loosing their grip on power if men can freely travel for sex, and sometimes instruct such officials to extract a lot of personal information from the traveler and relay it back to his community / family which in turn can be used as ammo for multi million dollar divorce settlements for some women.
Aren't we being a little paranoid here?
Immigration officials are not likely being bossed around by feminists. I suppose you imagine these women all being dressed in overalls and having short hair?
If you're afraid of having your phone checked for pictures (which is illegal under privacy laws) then transfer them to a memory stick or memory card.
Relax.

Ko.
I was quizzed heavily by a young guy at UK Customs (not Immigration) when I returned from my last trip. I could see him eying me as I walked along the corridor, so was prepared to be stopped. He was clearly bored, and was weighing up whether to inject some excitement into his life by searching my bag, compared with the clear knowledge that it would be a disappointment. He asked me about where I had been (Singapore and Thailand), why I had been there (work and holiday), and if I had brought anything back (yes, cooking spices). The last revelation persuaded him that I wasn't a drug mule, but a sad lonely old man with a taste for spicy food, and he nodded be on. I maintained a cheery disposition, despite worrying that an inspection of my bag would reveal three sex toys, a lifetime's supply of Viagra, and a wholesale box of condoms (unused). i also managed to make some fun videos this trip, which might have raised a few eyebrows, but nothing that you can't readily download elsewhere.

I really wonder why the Thai Government allows these lowlifes to stay here.
I recently attended a lecture on Hezbollah given by a former CIA agent who has just written a book on the subject. I learned that the CIA tries to monitor this organization very carefully. It is personal with them. They hate these assholes. There is blood on their middle eastern hands. At the lecture I was told that Hezbollah have their people planted all over the world including Thailand in places like lower Suk where they blend in. The Hezbollah agents get involved in all kinds of underground illegal activities like money laundering, prostitution, and arms acquisition while waiting around for possible orders of a more serious nature like kidnapping and terrorism. Sorry, but I give ALL Arabs in Thailand, the PI, and Indonesia a wide berth. They are lowlifes and up to no good.
Soi 11 is still wild and crazy and about as far down as I care to go unless I am making a rare visit to Nana. For starters I prefer Cowboy over Nana most anytime and same same for the oilies on Soi 24 over the places off lower Suk. Thank God there is more to BKK than lower Suk. Lower Suk really needs to be cleaned up.

There are a lot of very nice condos in this area for rent at relatively reasonably rates. I stayed for a week at the Marriott Thonglor Exec Apartment Hotel. A couple of months ago Marriott sent me an email offering $93/ night for a 1 bedroom suite and I nailed it down for 8 nights as part of my upcoming trip. One could save a small fortune by renting an upscale condo in this neighborhood. Ekkamai has a lot of interesting clubs, discos, good quality restaurants and street food. It is a pleasure to hang out here.
Sometimes BM's ask me where a good place to eat is on lower Suk and I am stumped to give them any good recommendations. I usually advise them to try one of the rollaway street carts on Soi 11 (Ju Ju's) after 10 pm or Monsoon (although touristy as all hell) for earlier dining. The best advice is get out of the neighborhood if you want good Thai eats.
Sadly I agree. Only by living in BKK full time can one get out of the traveler ST state of mind and simultaneously on the other side of the coin, certain opportunities open up for LT ex-pat residents that are just not there for someone in my present situation. On my next trip I will be spending a month here and it will be great, I can't wait, but I will still be only a ST temporary visitor. I would really like to live here for a year or more and then see what happens. One thing for sure after I sign a long term lease; I would hire a tutor and really make an effort to learn the lingo. That would open up a whole new arena of girls for me. Something to look forward to.

Ko.
You seriously underestimate the power of the feminists in Western countries. The US military is practically dominated by a board of women (with a significant percentage of lesbians) who do nothing but look for discrimination and "bias" in the military and the generals cower in fear. Much of US domestic policy is now based upon the rantings of neurotic women. VAWA is only one example. The outlawing of any sort of P4 P, with draconian punishment, is one symptom of a society run by militant leftist feminists. Look at the current US [CodeWord123] shield laws (the woman is protected, the man is not), the war on masculinity, extremely biased divorce laws, etc. , etc.
Oh, and checking for pictures, when entering the USA, is most definitely NOT illegal. There are court rulings upholding this. Don't make ignorant statements such as this before you know the facts. It may, or may not, be legal in Europe, but it is most certainly permitted when entering the USA.

If you really want to keep the memories, put it on cloud that's secure from anyone. Immigration / customs have every right to snoop around.
