Makati

My province girl, who I'll call PG, arrived late in the afternoon. PG is 30 years old, has two small kids. 5' tall, and about 90 lbs. My impression of her in our ym chat sessions were that she had a good sense of humor and was fairly intelligent. In reality she turned out to be a disappointment, although the sex was good, the time in between was mostly filled with her texting her friends / family or watching TV. I would consider her a semi-pro as we had agreed with me helping her with her kids' education fund. We settled on 3, 000 pesos plus some school supplies for her oldest kid (650 pesos for some notebooks, pencils, etc) for two nights and a day.

On one hand I think PG was just happy to be in a room with air-con and hot / cold running water as well as getting a little extra well needed cash for it, but on the other hand she missed her kids and was constantly asking for updates about them from her sister or mom. About the only time she didn't have the phone in her hand was when we were having sex, but I would no sooner pull out and she reaching for the phone. I tried to broach the subject with her, but she just shrugged it off.

Needless to say I learned a good lesson. Should I consider bringing in another province girl I'll make sure that she either has no kids or find out if she ever been apart from them before. Otherwise I'll probably pass and move onto the next one.

I am really surprised when I read these posts of guys who are hanging out at Havana Café and having pleasant conversations with the management. I think we have an obligation to boycott Havana Café. I am not sure of all of the dynamics at work here, whether it be a payoff not made or new ownership or truly the mall management trying to clean up the place? But I am certain the drastic loss in revenue will bring something to a boiling point sooner rather than later.

From a personal standpoint Havana Café was in my opinion one of the great bars in all the world and certainly the best in Manila. I think of the good times I have had there and some of the incredible women I have met it really infuriates me that they were able to just turn their back on all of those who made their bar what it is. I really laugh when I read these ridiculous posts that they are "going after a better clientele and doing it to make money?" Let me point out what I have been told by countless bar / restaurant owners in the Philippines;"Pinoys don't spend money." "They come in a group and have French fries, they come in a group and have one drink and sit at the table all night." All bars / restaurants are trying to get the foreigner into their establishment because they spend money. So these posts about the ladies taking a table and only buying one drink are accurate but they leave out the most important piece of info that most of the tables are occupied by foreigners who spend a lot of money and came there to meet ladies. I don't have access to their records but I am sure the revenue at Havana Café is down at least 50% over the last 3 months. It amazes me when I walk by and see tables of men sitting there drinking and eating. For what? There are no ladies coming! So I think we should all do our part and not spend one peso there! I am so disappointed and upset that if I thought protesting with signs and masses of people in front of the restaurant would help, I would do it!

It seems more reasonable to me that the "black eye" that they claim Havana Café to be is not so obvious as the masses of lady boys outside. And they have made no effort to clean them up?

I know this sounds like I am pouting. But its because I am. Here is a small sample of only a few of the memories I have had there in the last 5 years.

Havana Cafe is an establishment where I would fly all the way from Thailand just to spend the weekend or even a mid-week at. Whenever I fly from Europe to Asia, I try to make a stop in Makati as well, just to be at Havana. I love live salsa music. Combine this with the lovely ladies around, it was my all time favourite.

Sad to hear that the owners are destroying the atmosphere. I will skip the place till I hear better news.

Any good recommendations on Burgos bars that offer a private / VIP area for FS? I used to enjoy the MPs in Makati but it looks like most of these have closed down, so this will be my only option on work days.

The main reason I chose to try Cebu last time was due to the Havana and the new AntiWG policy since March of this year.

I hear that the girls still stand out in the court yard fringes in front of Havana waiting to be called in by a paying customer, the Havana does not own the whole court yard I assume. Anyone know if there is truth to this?

I too pulled some nice girls out of there, and was so bummed to hear about the new policy. Such a wonderful surrounding to meet girls in the middle of a huge shithole. No smoke, no loud music, no beggers, no pill pushers and safe.

They are on the fringes. You can find them just look. But also be aware of the many LB's frequenting that area.

first off- thank you wr, neufie, and key master for your replies. much appreciated. unfortunately the work week was quite hectic and i was not able to sneak away and try any of the options mentioned. however my colleagues left early and i extended my stay through the weekend for some fun. the last few days have been a bit of a blur, so rather than attempt to recap, some general observations / notes on the places i visited:

very nice hotel, great location, and i scored the 99usd crazy rate on asia travel. my only peeve is internet costs 750php per 24 hours, i would assume at a 4-5 star hotel the internet would be included. never had any issues bringing girls back, they do ask for i. d. and give you a call when the girl leaves.

[b]havana[/b]

i love the energy around the gb3 courtyard in the evening, however passing by havana a few times over the weekend, between 7-9pm, it appeared a bit more subdued than usual. fairly busy, but did not have obvious wgs or the overwhelming girl:guy ratio that i've seen in the past. again, this was just in passing, so perhaps there was more action going on than it appeared. lots of lbs in the general vicinity, though some potential gems around starbucks and the other restaurants nearby. i did not partake here.

[b]burgos[/b]

bottoms- raunchy, fun. girls and mamasans are bit pushy, but the talent here imo is top quality and their outfits are very revealing so no surprises when you take a girl out. bf is 3900, minus lds. i went here my first night and admittedly got a little carried away on the drinks, so bf was only 2000. probably the busiest of the bars on burgos i visited.

bourbon st- very high energy, if you prefer dance music and a club / disco type atmosphere this is a good place. surprisingly, the least pushy of the places i visited, and talent was also good. bf is same, minus lds. always make sure you ask to subtract the lds you get for the girls.

high heels- small place, has a private room as confirmed by wr. a little too small and aggressive here, i got mobbed by at least 8+ women before i even had a chance to sit down. i bought a ld for 2 girls just to get everyone else away, but they still wanted tip just to leave us alone. go figure.

[b]discos[/b]

icon- i prefer to keep the night going for a while after picking my girl, so both fri / sat i went to discos afterwards. first stop was icon, at intercontinental hotel. not very busy on a friday night, though it looked mongering friendly. most girls appeared to be wgs already with dates, though a few groups of girls were rep001tered around and looked available. plenty of tables to set your drink down, more of a people watching club. 500php cover for both guy and girl.

palladium- attached to new world, a little more swanky compared to icon imo, and less mongering friendly. very busy, and saw what appeared to be many locals. my date commented lots of young people from rich families like to come party here. 500php cover, though you get a drink voucher included with that. palladium has 2 rooms, one for hip hop and one for house music.

i think that about covers it. i intended to check out the edsa bars and mbc, but the proximity of burgos was too convenient to pass up for a short weekend trip. met a number of beautiful ladies, got a few numbers for next time, and overall thoroughly enjoyed myself. thanks for all the great tips from the board!

HH can be a tad over the top but the girls soon settle down and have their hands all over you. I believe there are some posts in the Hotels thread that detail the percentages and breakdowns of possible hotels you'll get if you book.
