Going to Curacao in 3 days, still can't find answer to this Campo question.
Hey guys,
Great info and some fun reads so far, but I'm desperate to figure something out before we get on that plane.
This trip is sort of a second honeymoon for my wife and I (16 years) and she has told me she's always wanted to be in a threesome with another woman (we have a complex relationship, don't judge). It was actually after we booked our Curacao trip that I learned that prostitution is legal there; what luck huh?
So, for the last month I've been trying to find out: a) is this sort of thing is taboo?, b) what is involved in bringing a little Campo back to the resort?, c) if my wife and I roll in on a Tuesday (ladies night) is it likely we'll find a girl willing to accommodate us?
I'm hoping to work something out using this strategy: On day we arrive, a Friday, I go to Campo alone and scout things. I chat up the bartenders for suggestions as well as any girls that have the time. I have free reign to get commercial with the girls if it means finding a promising prospect (and there's a few things I wouldn't mind checking off the old bucket list that my wife is not interested in being a part of). The goal is to find a willing girl (or two) that would agree to come to our hotel for an hour or two sometime the next day, perhaps late afternoon when the demand is low.
Can anyone shed a little light on this?
Going to get Campo off my bucket list
Well, while screwing around on American Airlines / US Air websites this morning, I found a fare out of JFK to Curacao next month round trip stopping of course in Miami, for $295.00! Plane fares like the good old days! I closed out the site and went back in twice, not believing what I saw. Needless to say, throwing caution to the wind, I booked the flight. Don't have a place to stay yet, but Airbnb seems to have many choices. I was considering a trip to Panama City, but the logistics and ability to rent a car (and the one stop shopping at Campo), not to mention the price of the airfare made it a no brainier to jump at Curacao.
I've familiarized myself with all the Campo posts but just need one bit of clarification. Can you do take out during the day, and if so, is there a bar fine and are there sign-in hours similar to the clubs in SXM? I'm sure the chica is looking to be compensated for her time away and I know that's all negotiable. I'd like to do a day beach excursion and sneak a chica away for a day. I know Mambo is the big tourist beach. Any more private, low-key beaches someone can recommend?
Since they use the Antillean Dollar (I know US dollars are valid), is there a preferred place to exchange currency? I think it's 1 USD = 1.78 ANG as of this writing. I just like to blend in to the local environment as much as possible and remove the "tourist" stigma. Especially when going to local markets.
I'll be renting a car. Hard to get lost on an island. I assume the main roads aren't bad. And use the normal protocols of not leaving anything visible in the car. I'd assume Campo has a large parking area that should be safe.
Also, I'm really interested in taking the "Mermaid" (think that's the name of the vessel) for the day trip to Klein Curacao. Leaving from Fisherman's Wharf. Has any member done this? Looks like a cool way to spend the day on the water and a deserted island.
I'm hoping for a full line-up at Campo. I know they come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Looking forward to the experience. Especially since they have their own little (kamers) rooms which you can wander by. To me should be a tropical Amsterdam! LOL! (Minus the canals!
Figured I'd give St. Maarten a break for awhile and expand my horizons while I'm still vertical. Any other input or tips from veteran posters feel free to reply back, or PM me. I'll be sure to provide a trip report upon my return!
