Will the good times return?
This corona virus thingy seems to be on the verge of delivering a fatal blow to the P4P scene in Pattaya. With still no effective control in place and no sign of it abating in next month or two, I wonder if we will ever see the hundreds of girls lined up in Coco bar again. A month or two of absence would not have made a lasting difference but several months definitely will cause lasting damage. Many girls might find locals and get off the market for good. Many bars will close. Govt might jump in and use this opportunity to close massage shops and bars to deliver body blow to P4P scene.
What are your predictions for future of Pattaya and LOS, in general?

Not Only a Pattaya Problem, but World Problem

What are your predictions for future of Pattaya and LOS, in general?[/QUOTE]About me, not sure if my opinion is worth anything, but Pattaya and Thailand is fucked. Their only "slim to none" chance of hope is to follow Monkeypaw's advice, which I think they are doing. That is. Fool the rest of the world as if Thailand cares so much about public health of its citizens and guests. Adopt the same measures as neighboring Asian and ASEAN countries which they rely on for trade and tourism. You see this in their scan, track, and trace requirement which anybody on the ground can tell you. It's a cluster fuck with people scribbling unreadable names and fake phone numbers. And others not even signing out. If Koreans do it, so must the copycat Thais. Thailand also wants to project a clean, safe, Coronavirus free country to the world, yet they can't control their HIV / AIDS infections or TB death in the tens of thousands. They are like bottom third in countries when it comes to achieving their own heath initiatives and goals according to the WHO, yet they have all these top notch hospitals ranked 6th best in the world. Those who live here will tell you it's about disparity and the best services are only for the wealthy who have money. But this top healthcare system should make tourists feel safe. So their only hope is to convince the world that Thailand is a safe haven for those who want to get away from their disease ridden country as an escape. They had this strategy when all this started and instead of the Chinese born COVID-19, their blame was on Western and European countries for the spread. Because the government knew this was going to be a long ass ride, with the world going into a recession. Less money, combined with higher travel costs, and more travel restrictions, what's Thailand best hope for the return of tourists? Yep, the neighboring Asian countries. So don't piss off the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans, etc. Feel free to do your own research on anything I wrote and correct me if I am wrong.

As for Pattaya, it's been 1 week since most business were allowed to reopen besides the naughty stuff, entertainment, and others (basically the places they DO NOT want their people to spend money on in a time of economic crisis like parents controlling their kids). A good indicator of how the entertainment businesses will do is is keep an eye on how fine dining and non-casual restaurants do. And in Pattaya, those are failing and empty. Very few people want to pay that price and not receive the level of service, quality, or dining out experience they are used to. Even the casual restaurants in the mall are only doing 25-40% of their normal sales. I spoke to a (very hot) girl at the Puma store today and was told they only sold a cap and a pair of shorts the entire day on a Sunday at 6:40 PM. Central Festival was only 10-15% of their normal crowd. Royal garden was at 5%. Mikes Shopping Mall is still closed. Most Beach Road businesses are closed. Almost all on Walking Street are too. All the while, rent needs to be paid. Businesses, like people, who lived month to month are going to go bankrupt, just like Thai Airways current "restructuring," a term so people don't panic. Most have only around 6 months of safety and this downturn will last so much longer.
But it's not only about Thailand. It becomes "macro," when the big names like China or the USA or Hong Kong or the EU fails. And guess what? Shit is hitting the ceiling with all of them right now. I expect it to get worse with more bankruptcies and layoffs added to an already struggling economy so highly dependent on tourism. Remember entertainment and dining out used to give us an "experience" worth paying extra for. You can stay at home and call a hooker over or you go out, hang out, drink it up, and party a bit for a hooker. If the prices don't change but the service and experience does with all these new restrictions, do you still pay? Will it even be fun anymore? Now there is worry that the prices will go up, just like airlines in order to re-coop previous and current losses. Now will you still pay? And as I walked around in the mall tonight, I can see the look of despair in the faces of the shop workers. Their co-workers have been laid off, staff reduced, workload increased, but nobody is spending on needless things. For example, girls are buying less make up and not getting their hair done as much at the shop because who is there to impress? The weekend warriors at the bars and clubs are gone. They can wake up, put on a face mask and go outside. It's a domino effect and the more you think, those connections make it look grim. How much money is spent trying to peacock and attracting the opposite sex? Good luck with that now. I was telling XXL, I have to remind girls to wear make up for our appointments to fuck.
Anyways, need to break up the gloom and doom talk with some positives. Tree Town is still kicking. Rules are relaxed there, so people can drink and socialize. Because as someone mentioned, the police got heir hands in that area and it is a money maker. It's fast and very casual with little or no service provided. However, places like Mulligans, Beer Hub, And Soul City are doing poor with waiters just standing around. So anyways, that's the new tiny Walking Street of sort, but not much action for the sober monger with good vision. Very few quality in my opinion, but what do I know. I don't have a good track record with selecting the prettiest girls. Girls are also working out of the Titty Twister club on Soi Post Office. Grabbed a cute skinny one (there was only 3) during an evening stroll for 1000. Also near the Subway on Buakhao, are 3 girls who sell face masks at the AG Massage shop. They fuck for 1200. Took a short haired one the other night coming back from Tree Town. Both girls provided BBBJ, with CIM along with CFS. Enjoy.
